numerologist friend Sanjay B Jumaani. The actor had a registered marriage on 19 April and has decided to change her name to Tanishaa Nerurkar.
"Yes, Tassnim has changed her name to Tanishaa and I made the changes according to her date of birth and since she's got married to a Hindu she wanted a Hindu name. I keep speaking to her often and she decided to change the name before her marriage. I had also suggested a few names to her, matching with surnames Sheikh and Nerurkar," says Jumaani

I have always been a Hindu , as my mother is a Hindu and my grandparents with whom I have lived are Gujrati Hindus so there is no conversion here," smiles Tassnim aka Tanishaa who has resumed work as Mohini in Kyunki...

So when is the honeymoon due , we ask? "Honeymoon will happen after two months, by the end of June as we have our work commitments. Sameer is back on the ship and I have already started shooting!" sighs the actor.

Her dad is a Muslim. Technically one goes by their father's religion. So she was/ is technically a MUSLIM by birth.
And she says she has been a HINDU thats probably because her mother is a HINDU and was brought up as a HINDU.
