Amit Sareen with fiance Vineesha
Amit Sareen, who recently quit his role as Saahil in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, was seen with a tall, good-looking lady companion at Tassnim Sheikh's reception Thursday night.

We wondered if she was just a friend posing for a picture with him. To our surprise, we discovered that the stunner standing next to Amit was none other than his fiance, Vineesha Arora.

Hush-hush affair

"She is my fiance and we are very much in love," divulges Amit. How come we never heard of her? "I don't like to make a noise about my personal life. I think there are some things that should remain private."

Vineesha was raised in New York, but is based in Mumbai for the last six years. Explains Amit, "She travels back and forth to make the most of her work in New York and Bollywood.

She was seen in Supari a while back, and is presently pursuing acting, writing and direction. She recently directed a short film and it has done the rounds of film festivals."

Met Al Pacino

When did they meet? "It's a coincidence that we met around five years back, on Valentine's Day. Since she kept travelling, we would meet whenever she was in town." Amit says he is very proud of Vineesha's work and wants her to go places.

"She's a multi-tasker; recently, she wrote a script and gave it to Al Pacino. She even met him and the prospects look good. I am thrilled that she's taking such big leaps and it's a matter of time till she gets her due."

What about marriage? When do they plan to take the big step? "We will be married by this year-end," says Amit, who, after leaving Kyunki, is now concentrating on films and has something big lined up. "It's too early to disclose. Let's hope everything works out well."
