Okay, since now the show has long ended and we're all pretty much beghar and akela at the moment, here's a thought:

would you want to see your fav kyunki actor in a new upcoming show?

I was wondering, especially with the likes of our Ronit da, Smriti Iraniji, Hiten & Gauri Tejwani, Sumeet, Shilpa, Sudha, Achint, etc... how would you respond to seeing them in a totally different avatar... like, how would it be taken if Smriti would take up a role as the evil saas and Ronit took up the role of a college boy, or even if Hiten & Gauri took up the role as old aunties and uncles... do you think that kyunki has gone far enough to have the character's image along with the actor mixed up together embedded in our heads that we cannot see them as totally different avatars?

Well jhanvi..i dnt know abt others..but as my favs n kyunki r Gauri & Hiten Tejwani..
So well kyunki is not the 1st or the only place we have seen them together opposite each other. We have had the luck to watch Kutumb 1 with them as Pratham & Gauri Mittal ,then in totally different avtar in Kutumb 2 as Gauri & Pratham Maan and the Kya Hadzaa Kya Haqeeqath as Mayuri & Pratham which was a horror story.. then once again as Kanan n Nishant in KYPH..so the list for us is quite long..

So for us GHT fans we have seen them over a span of 8 years in totally different and unique avatars..So seeing them once again as some completely different characters with different personalities facing different circumstances is not going to be a new thing for us..But the only avatar u suggested is not possible for us to accept..and that is older roles..we'll accept them in any role of their own age they play opposite each other.

well also as i said before kyunki is not the 1st place many fans saw them for the 1st time..many of them fell in love wth this awsome jodi as Gauri n Pratham the spicy jodi.(and till date many of us prefer pratham gauri over karan nandini).so if they could accept and totally fall in luv wth Karan & Nandini who couldnt have been more differnt from Gauri & Pratham even if they tried i dont see any reason that would prevent us from appreciating and embrazing anynew suitable characters of their own age that they will take up in the future..😳
all we want is the "two of them being together opposite each other+characters of their own age+as lead roles in a new show"😃

I think it would be really hard for the likes of Smriti Irani and Ronit Roy. Smriti is Tulsi. She tried different things but failed.

The only one I am personally concerned about is Mouni Roy since thats the reason I even watched Kyunki and I am waiting for her to sign something new.

I think I could handle individual actors doing different roles. It would probably throw me off a bit while I was watching, but I would still be able to accept it enough to enjoy the show. There would always be a moment while watching, though, where I would just think, this is so weird to see Mihir/Tulsi/whoever like this.

But I was actually thinking just today, what about different pairings? Say for example Hiten and Reshmi were paired opposite each other in another show. They're not too far apart age-wise in real life, it's totally acceptable for them to be paired together, but I would never be able to get over the Karan-Bhoomi images that they have to accept them as anything other than father and daughter or something similar. Or if Amit (Manthan) was paired with Reshmi, or Smriti with Sumeet (Gautam), or any pairing like that.

So ya, I think at least to some extent the characters from kyunki have merged with the actors themselves so that even though logically I know they're completely separate from each other I can't help associating them with each other. Maybe with time it will change, maybe not.
