Well done Preity! Mickey and minie performing Dandia was particularly inovative and fresh!!
The beauty of Hindu culture is the diversity of the same festival is the rich and varied cultures in different parts of the country!!
iF western India celebrates it with Dandiya and Garba,
the same festival in East India dedicates this nine day period to Maa Durga and hence called Durga pooja,
In North India in addtion to Jai Mata di this festival culminates in Ram Lila with Ravan dahan!
In south India we refer to this period as Devi navaraatri and many households have a dislay of dolls on either 3,5,7 or 9 steps and primarily ladies chant the lalita sahaasranama in groups and recite the mahisaura mardhini stotram in different houses.
All in all the spirit in India durign thisperiod has a feel good feeling!! ultimately however the celebration signifies Triumph of Good over Evil!!
In spirtual terms the importance of nava ratri is: the human body is consdered as a Temple which has nine randhras or holes , two each of eyes, nostrls, ears .excretory organs and one mouth, which get clogged in our daily routine and it is for the seeker to cleanse them! duringthis period! ratri is asscoiated with sleep and the seeker is asked to wake up tie shed aside the tamo Guna ( Inertia) to realise the SELF within!!

wow so true👏👏
