I have said it repeatedly that the only child for whom Mihir’s obsession could have been easily sold and made reasonably clear to understand is Shobha.

She was the child he was around for when she was born, she’s his daughter and fathers are mostly always more partial to their daughters than sons and love them more. Most importantly, Gautam was kidnapped right after she was born as we know. So Mihir not only missed the birth of Gautam, he literally lost his son too and until Harsh came along Shobha was his only child - the only one he could love, spoil, pamper, cuddle - the only child he had.

Karan was likely born close to Shobha but Mihir was purposely trying to avoid him and yet a part of him was definitely remorseful and guilty about his neglect of a son he knows he’s had, especially one that he has to hide, whose sheer existence he can’t bring forth.

So the heartbreak, anger and guilt owing to Gautam, the guilt of ignoring Karan would have only amplified his feelings of wanting to be considered as a good father and Shobha was the only child he had to pour all of himself into to stop thinking about his two sons. It would’ve made sense for him to be stuck in this mode perpetually even after he got back Gautam and Karan and eventually adopted the 3 Kapadia kids as well. He could have very well been shown as loving Pari more than her brothers, if Pari was the youngest one of them all, it still would’ve made sense why Mihir would favour her.

Here the issue is that his obsession literally makes no sense beyond his claim of Main uska baap hoon! Hell, even biologically, these kids are related to Tulsi so it’s not even like they’re the last remnants of a close sibling or cousin of Mihir’s who died while handing over their responsibilities to him or while saving him or Tulsi or something. So this obsession is not only manufactured but it is also unexplained and makes no sense.

This Mihir makes you really understand and appreciate the wisdom of our ancestors who said if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all.

Because every time this man opens his mouth you know before his voice is even heard that you wanna yell at him, “Shut up, Mihir!”

So so true. Right now worst character in the show is Mihir . I can't believe am saying this from cheering mihir return in season one to hating him now even Ronit Mihir character for his mistakes was not hated this much .

But fact is he was not great husband even in season one . Never supported Tulsi when she needed him the most .

But fact is he was not great husband even in season one . Never supported Tulsi when she needed him the most .

He wasn’t a good husband ever but they’re making him worse than before; and given that he literally fathered a son with Mandira, that’s saying something.

He was never this dismissive, insulting and even violent with Tulsi before, not even when she killed their son and his mother.

He never compared other women with her to put her down and he didn’t try to make it seem like she was the worst wife and mother in the world back then unlike now.
