Ekta Kapoor's KYA HOGA NIMMO KA is going off air from January 18 due to poor TRP rating of the soap. The serial was being aired on Star One and Sanjeeda Sheikh was playing the role of Nimmo. As Shailja Kejriwal, senior creative director of Star, confirms the news, ' Yes, it is going off the air as the story is coming to a logical conclusion. The show has been on air for more than one year. It's been a popular serial on Star One. We shouldn't compare it with the soaps on Star Plus, since those belong to a different genre altogether.' The problem with ' Nimmo' was that it was a character driven drama and so had to come someday at a definite end. Meanwhile, even Kejriwal was not sure that which soap or programme will replace this serial, as due to KBC a series of reshuffling is going on presently.
However, Sanjeeda Sheikh, who has been playing the role of main protagonist is in the mood of a long holiday and expresses her gratitude to Balaji Telefilms for giving her break with this serial. She now wants to concentrate on South Indian films, for which she has several offers. She is hopeful of getting back in Balaji camp with some new serial.
