"Anurag of Kya Dil Mein Hai is a cocky and one-liner kind of guy who tries to change things in a family. He is a kind of guy girls would love to hate," he elaborates. Is it a negative character? "Not really. But he is a mysterious kind of guy. Anurag's persona will be revealed from the third episode onwards. Kya Dil Mein Hai is a lovely one-hour mini-series. The story moves quite fast," he says. Certainly the character is quite unlike Aamir Ali. "I am a shy person and can't express a lot of things, especially to girls," he adds. He also couldn't express his feelings for Sanjeeda but admits that Nach Baliye has brought him closer to her. "Working together helped us in understanding each other. Over the last three months I have been able to understand Sanjeeda a lot better," says Aamir who has improved as a dancer and is thankful to his ladylove for the same. "Sanjeeda is a fabulous dancer whereas I was a non-dancer. But I agreed to do the show because of Sanjeeda. I love her a lot," he reveals. But it's not been an easy journey for him. "I have worked quite hard on my dance. Being a weak dancer, matching Sanjeeda's steps and dancing in sync with her has not been easy. But I am glad that I have done reasonably well and as a couple we have done very well," he says. He is also happy with the fact that as a couple they have got good marks from the jury and audience has voted him in huge numbers for over eight weeks, so much so that they have not landed in the danger zone even once. "It's only two years since I entered this industry but I am happy with my career so far," he adds. Aamir says doing Kya Dil Mein Hai is like a homecoming for him. If that's the case then why did he leave Balaji? "There were some issues then. But let's not go into the past," he ends. www.deccan.com |
