How does that song go again? Oh yeah. "Cause you keep me coming back for more." Well, I suppose that I can never break up with KDMH completely. We have this on-and-off relationship 😃 Now to the review.
Overall, there was lack of depth and chemistry in the relationship between Devi-Kakun and Rahul-Kakun. The episodes in general were interesting, though. But to take it from one end to another, here goes.
Episode 95: Was overall interesting as for Aman and Kakun's part.
Kakun-Aman: I cannot thank the K-crew enough for finally giving Kakun some spine. I found her scenes with Aman much more interesting this time. Adding that Abigail did a really good job in the bedroom-scare scene. They were both absolutely mind-blowing. I literally had goosebumps, when Aman assaulted her in their bedroom. I knew that he wouldn't rape her at the moment. He was pissed and giving her a scare, because she'd shown herself so cool and calm around him. He likes his women powerless. And Kakun surely stood up to him in this episode. My favorite scene was when she told him about the Gangaajal and before he could even blink, she drank from it. The scene was so powerful, and that smile she gave him right after - wauw, had me cracking up. I almost fell down my seat, laughing so hard. It was beautiful. Now, see, that's the Kakun I was rambling about for weeks.
The developement of Aman comes naturally. I had anticipated that at some point, he would become more forceful - and that he has. He's even started to hurt her physically, which again shows that he's losing the control over her, and he knows it. So he's doing the only thing he can. Hurting her as much as possible. Finally they got his character right. He's pure evil. Die, Aman. No offence, Mridul 😃
Naina-Rahul: No surprises there. He's bonding with her. Funny, he's trying much harder than Kakun did. I find that amusing, because he's always been the most reluctant and stubborn of them both. But anyway, he's bonding with her, flirting and teasing her. The chand-scene was the only part, which really annoyed me in this episode, because I always believed that the moon was Kakun for Rahul, so even him thinking about someone else as the moon made no sense to me, and further made me lose faith in his love for Kakun. Whatever. Apart from that, I really didn't find their scenes disturbing, because I don't really care that much about Rahul anymore. Now my main focus is only Kakun and her well-being.
Devi-Kakun: The car-scene really brought tears to my eyes. Why? Because the music brought me back to all their scenes together pre-marriage. I have missed them so much. And regardless of this one scene, the writers are not being fair to their relationship, which I can never forgive them for. What honestly kept me to my seat pre-AmanKakun-marriage was not purely Rahul-Kakun, but also the mother-daughter bondage and nothing, absolutely nothing can top that for me, when it comes to Devi interacting with daughter-likes. Kakun and Devi has always been my favorite mother-daughter relationship, and I am truly disappointed in the way the BC have neglected it. Shame on you, guys.
Episode 96: I would like point out that they need to make it clearer whether Rahul is noticing Aman-Kakun's indirected snapping at each other. Because at the dining table, he looked confused and upset somehow, but I can't figure out if that means he's starting to notice Aman's strange behavior toward Kakun, or only noticing that Kakun is behaving not-so-nice toward Aman. However, I liked the scene, because at least they showed him noticing something. I was starting to get worried about him suffering brain-damage.
Again, if they intend to bring Rahul-Kakun together at some point, or if they intend to keep on enchanting that Rahul still loves Kakun - then they need to make it clearer. Because lately, there's nothing. Not even the slightest bit of chemistry, glances, and that hand-shaking between them - BEEEP. Blooper. What a real turn-off. I've never seen something less lovely than that moment, when Rahul shook her hand. Oh wait, I have. All his scenes with Naina Oberoi. Also, I find it quite irritating that they play RaKun's music during scenes between Rahul and Naina - for instance when he drops her home. And as for Naina, she's quite changed since her first appearance on the show. Back then I thought she was annoying, now I think that she's terribly annoying. So great job. Keep it up.
Now coming to Preeti and Kakun - I must say that it was quite amazing to watch her being so nice, and as for the future, I really hope it continues, because I honestly liked the interaction between her and Kakun. In fact, I generally liked Preeti's kind side, it was a nice change, for once. Brought some colors to her usually gray character.
I am so glad that Kakun sang, smiled and was so kind toward Naina. I just wish that Rahul had shown to notice is more, and perhaps they could have put some sparkle in his eyes, showing that he's still in love with Kakun and those things that she does is what makes him forget himself and stare. That would have been enough to show their chemistry, too, and how deep their love still is. Unless the BC are intending to bury all that for Naina's sake.
I suppose that they're intending to drag this until the 100th episode, until the Big Bang is gonna happen, whatever the BB is gonna be about - I'm sure RaKun fans will cry their eyes out either way - and frankly, I'm glad that Kakun's being slightly stronger than before, taunting Aman, loved all the scenes when she did that. Heh. That has been the only highlights for me on these episodes. The rest was crap, boring and no cookies.
My prediction for the next episodes:
1. Kakun will not leave the house.
2. Rahul will bond further with Naina (to the point where he'll feel guilty if a time should come for him to choose between her and Kakun).
3. Aman will become more aggressive and forceful.
4. Kakun will return to her weeping.
5. Rahul will start developing feelings for Naina.
6. A three-headed monster will appear from the ground to ruin their wedding-day.
7. Rahul and Naina will get married, regardless of anything.
8. It will be Rahul's own choice. For Naina.
