she actually did tried the 'slightly out of the box' changes which didnt do wonders in terms of trps for example- kutumb's sequel (which was pure love story minus triangles) then there was the very recent kuch is tarah, which if i am not wrong is now off-air. her experimental mahabharat didnt give her success like her regular soaps. the woman is justt not lucky i guess when it comes to experiments. she loves playing safe and sticking to her usual formulas.

Not that I know anything about it - but, I think that it's because she doesn't find the balance. For instance, you can have triangles in a show, but then make sure you balance that with something else, which has nothing to do with triangles but is still the same theme (love).

^ balancing is always a problem with hindi serials not just ekta serials. its impossible to provide justice to each and every plot and characters. these shows got soo many characters plus with a team of technicians who are working crazily (they shoot like almost 16 hrs a day) most of the actors have to be present on the sets whether they have scenes or not and anyway most scenes are written on the sets. there is never too much of 'pre-planning' that is precisely why i dont support triangle no matter who the three angles are. triangles are a strict no-no coz it will be messy(thats given). the characters will get butchered no matter what. and till date i have not witnessed three equally strong angles in a love triangle. one will be negative or psychotic or a loser or some idiot. the biggest flaw in kk-rahul-naina.o triangle is the lack of strength in almost all characters. and the common link (rahul) seems the weakest character in the triangle, which is sad. we cant yet write off kakun or naina totally. and the biggest flaw in this show is 'the lack of consistency' in characters, story and everything.

i agree too i think the prob is that they dont FINISH a drama.

^ they should have simply shut down the whole show before 80 episodes. the show could have received a normal ending then. it was useless to convert aman into a psycho, naina into a dead body and the biggest of all 'the kk-aman' marriage. damn why why didnt this show end? a script should run towards a conclusion. which clearly will not be the case now. the reason for all those twist is 'extension' . now that it will be extended it is going to become a funny mocktail with zero logic.

KDMH was special because it had a red thread leading somewhere. The story was planned from the beginning and so was the ending. But then Ekta decided to prolong it - and to extend the show, she had to do something.

i think she intended to finish it at 80 for if u look at the episodes it is whn the aman goes missing and the engagement- i really thought it was going to end for if u look kk was in red and rahul was wearing a black suit. aman was in a grey suit pink tie and nainao was in a pink sari-matching sets!

and everything was building up to a momentum and i thought this is it this is where everything was going to a head and i was looking forward to it!

but oh no-ekta goes back on her word again changes the whole concept of the drama and has turned something different and special in to just one more ekta kapoor K-drama!

i think at that time ekta didnt have another 'ready' show for the channel. barring mahabharat and kdmh, she doesnt have any other show on 9x. she let go 'kahe na kahe' coz she wanted her mahabharat to replace it plus it wasnt a weekend show like this one. mainly she didnt wanted to end this one solely for money multiplying isssues (the better for her if the show runs longer) a non ekta would have replaced kdmh if it ended before 80 and she didnt wanted that to happen. its a good profitable time slot. anyway all this is going to mess the story more and more. i can think of 3 to 4 scenarios now (keeping the BT factor and extension thing in mind) and none of those are sounding good in my head.
