This is the traditional Kundali Bhagya format. This has basically been the case since Kritika's engagement in the 25th episode, the only time the plot has moved anywhere was 'post' the 50th episode when Rishabh got engaged to Sherlyn and then after the 500th episode when Rishabh got married to Sherlyn. Other than last year were we had TWO elongated 'shaadis' the pace and format of Kundali Bhagya has been very consistent and exactly the same really.

How did manage to sit through all this dragging and no story.even,if i watch this show after a month,i am sure the story would have hardly moved.probably terrorist attack/kidnapping/another robbery/murder attempt/shaddi would be going on.

Shows ONLY move forward for TRP, the 'gap year' Mandy the blogger was talking about was also the time when Kundali Bhagya was the no.1 show for 52 consecutive weeks. I mean if you have only started watching now for 'Karan-Preeta' I understand why you would feel frustrated. But I am going to be all intellectual and talk about the economics of ITV shows,😆(Coz I am a little off in that direction).

So basically we all know that Kundali Bhagya is a spin-off of Kumkum Bhagya, and factually speaking when the spin-off was announced Kumkum Bhagya was the number 1 show, so being the spin-off of the no.1 show with great casting helped Kundali Bhagya immensely (to say the least) !! In the very first week of its inception Kundali Bhagya was within the top 10 shows in the BARC Urban GEC ratings, and continued to climb steadily up. As Sanjay Gagnani (Prithvi) and Ruhi Chaturvedi (Sherlyn) have already confirmed that initially they were hired as cameo's in the show, with short contracts. However, the fact that the show was doing well to begin with but became number 1 post Prithvi's entry cemented his and Sherlyn's place permanently in the Kundali Bhagya cast.

The dragging and the elongation of the current plot in Kundali Bhagya being partially because of Zee tv is also kind of sort of true, the fact that despite Kumkum Bhagya being as successful a serial that it has been by 2018 the makers had no option but to take a 'time-leap' in the show. Currently most if not all long running shows try and 'want to avoid' time-leaps as much as possible. But even more than that considering Kumkum Bhagya became overtly dependent on Abhi and Pragya, the makers being the same have conscientiously tried to avoid that in Kundali Bhagya. Although, Karan and Preeta are the 'leads' but the plot does NOT 'solely' revolve around them. The audience are interested in other characters and the plot arch's that those other characters bring.

So, as long as Kundali Bhagya has the TRP it will drag without much actual resolution in plot for as long as possible, or at least till crosses the 1000th epi, in my opinion.

😆 i know we lead trps in a better way than other shows as each of our character has something to play in it and we all love watching that. And that's why im still watching it even when they draaag some plots extra long! But at times its obvious u get pissed off with the same repeated drama by kareena mainly.

Well, im not a big fan of KKB although i used to watch the beginning part of the show and I like that couple but somewhere i didn't like it and totally dropped watching it. But it never happened with KDB, but even if i skip watching few episodes i do keep a tab on the story with written updates.

Well, without taking a leap our story managed to do so well in the trp charts for 2 years and is still continuing. But on the story side we are not moving. We are still going ringa ringa roses at particular point. And by pointing at the gap, What i wanna say is they should move the story to the next step even though we don't stop watching it before it gets too late.

That is the thing Kundali Bhagya makers have the luxury that no other maker has, that is full audience loyalty added with full audience curiosity. As long they have the curiosity they have a TRP frontrunner in their hands.
