Karan Luthra : one of the famous architect in US who is given contract in one of company in india. Quite modern, outgoing, person who makes way to arrive at his ancestral palace with his newly wife Preeta. Hears his own instincts more than other people but respects elders

Preeta karan luthra : Wife of Karan; simple sophisticated girl who loves to dig old archaeology things. Grown up with her grandmother but has very dark past unaware to anybody.

Dr Aditya Sehgal : Karan's friend and psychiatrist; very funny who people get sometimes irritated as well. But on other side is quite intelligent who comes to solve the mystery of unusual happening in palace.

Radha : Adopted daughter of badrinath after her parents death; quiet, reserved type of girl. She is great dancer too; forms good bonding with Preeta when she arrives. Best friend of karan

Badrinath luthra (Shishir Sharma) : Uncle of Karan who is very conservative and strict. loves his nephew more than anything. Forbids Karan to live in the palace due to dark past happened earlier

Kaveri Luthra (Zarina Wahab) ; Wife of badrinath; housewife who loves all kids in family. Very much devotee to her husband

Janki (Smita Jaykar) : Sister of Badrinath and Karan's bua; energetic and open minded. Tries to stop her husband Batukshankar warning about the haunted palace. Possessive for her family

Batukshankar (Aloknath) : Husband of Janki who has helped Karan buy the palace.

Ganga (Namrata Thapa) : daughter of Janki and Batukshankar, Very lively and free minded who is about to get married with Sushant

Sushant (Sameer Dharmadhikari) : Famous poet and writer. Engaged to Ganga and is idol to Preeta who loves his poems.

Chote pandit (Vijay raaz) : Worker in palace who creates comedic situation by scaring them and gets scared himself

Part 1

The scene opens the dark time of the haunted palace

Camera focuses on inside things with names of actors

The scene opens with group of college students arriving for tour nearby the palace in Jaipur. All are fascinated with the place (they come in evening time)

Nitya : aye woh dekh (points at haunted palace) kitna khubsurat mahal hai yeh toh

Vani : ha woh toh hai ek minute (sees something on phone) areey yeh toh wohi haunted palace hai jo mom ne batayi thi

Coach : everybody hum yaha thodi der ke liye rukne wale hai aap sab ko jo karna hai karo, lekin koi bhi uss mahal ke paas nai jayega aur agar gaye toh upar ke floor mein mat jana

Nitya : kyu sir aisa kya hai waha

Coach : itna samaj lo ki its not allowed, woh dangerous hai upar jana mana hai itni saari jagah hai jane ke liye hum theek char ghante ke baad yehi milenge okay all

Nitya : vani chal

Vani : kya chal, dimaag kharab hai kya tera, areey suna nai sir ne kya kaha woh mahal khatre se khali nai hai ti kahi nai jayegi

Nitya : kuch nai hoga yaar yeh sab bekar ki baatein hai, waise bhi tujhe hai na ki mein

Vani : nastik hai isliye toh mujhe jyada tension ho rahi hai teri, dekh lene ke dene padh jayenge ruk ja please uss taraf chalte hai

Nitya . : tujhe nai aana toh mat aa lekin main toh jakar rahungi areey mera portfolio ke liye pictures aa jayenge main aati hu (runs)

Vani : Nitya ruk ja (goes with her hesitantly not willing to leave her friend alone)

Nitya goes inside the palace looking at beautiful art pictures

Vani ; kitna khubsurat hai yaar yeh toh I can't imagine itne saal purana mahal aur log iski history toh ek dum mast hogi

Nitya : of course yaar chal upar chalte hai aajja

Vani : nai yaar mujhe daar lag raha hai, itna dekh liya kaafi hai

Nitya : kuch nai hoga main hu na tere saath waise bhi tu toh paath puja wali hai hanuman chalisa sab aata hai phir dar kyu

Vani : areey bewakoof, yeh sab mein sirf chalisa kaam nai karti aur bhi bahut kuch hota hai

Nitya drags her upstairs annoyingly. They hear noise of something breaking

Vani : yeh awaz kaisi, jai hanuman gyan gun sagar (starts chanting softly)

Chill run through their spine when they hear noise on anklet from somewhere. They see shadow of woman showing hands to them

Nitya : kaun hai waha

Vani : nitya chal bhag yaha se yaar (tries to take her forcefully) jaldi

Both start running when rope drags Nitya inside forbidden door while she is shouting. Vani tries to help her when power pushes her out.

Nitya's scream blows off Vani's mind and echoes her ears. Nobody is able to hear them and screaming echoes till outside the palace at night

Jaipur

After 3 years

Resides Luthra family who owns the ancestral palace but are not able to sell to anybody. It is headed by Badrinath, very strict and disciplined

The scene starts with Batukshankar going inside the mansion to check the work done by workers properly

Batuk : raghu, kaam kaisa chal raha hai pura hua ya nai

Raghu ; kal parso tak pura ho jayega

Batuk ; woh kal aane wale hai America se pichli baar bhi bataya tha na, thoda rang thoda polish baaki hai lekin ek mahine se laga hua hai

Raghu ; kya kare iss bhutiya mahal mein koi kaam karne koi raazi hi nai hai

Batuk ; theek hai theek hai aaj ke din saar kaam pura kardena (goes around the palace to check other things)

He gets little scared seeing his own shadow in mirror. Suddenly there is noise of chair moving itself in front of him

Batuk : raghu, raghu (starts running in fear)

He forgets keys at door rushing outside to nearby temple
