Kundali Bhagya is no longer number 1!

The TRP for the 26th week came out yesterday, and it was for the episodes from Saturday, 22nd June to Friday, 28th June 2019. Kundali Bhagya not just only lost its number 1 position, but the show also lost substantial rating points. The TRP for week 25 of 2019 was around 3.4, however, the TRP this week fell dramatically to 2.7. If we take a look at the bigger picture 2.7 is not a bad rating at all, but the because of this rating the show also fell to the 4th spot. But even more importantly the show also lost its position as the slot leader to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

If we look at last week's episodes (from 22nd to 28th June), we'll see that the week actually started of with the maha-episode which was about Sherlyn's Muh-dikhayee. Most of the week focused on Karan-Preeta being angry with each other, but the week ended with Sherlyn's almost 'parda-fash'. To be extremely honest thou everyone knew including the most optimistic within us knew that Sherlyn's parda-fash will not happen now.

Nevertheless, in conclusion considering the 'high' of Sherlyn-Rishabh's wedding having concluded the show is fast tracking Prithvi-Preeta's wedding in order to bring-back more parda-fash hype, but have the makers taken the audience for granted? I mean Rishabh-Sherlyn's wedding was a huge gamble and it paid handsomely in the last few weeks with high TRP's but has it cost the show in the long run, has it created audience fatigue. Considering one of the main USP's of the show other than being the on-screen chemistry of the main cast was the shows sense of humour. But with another gloomy wedding around the horizon with absolutely no 'parda-fash' of any sorts in sight will the show be able to manage to continue one of the greatest runs by any hindi-serial in the last couple of years.

I hope it falls even more so the makers get some sense and resurrect it from the dead.

The show although a drag was entertaining to the audience due to there being a light-heartedness to the show amongst drama here and there and dragging of villain exposure, but given after such a long wait viewers finally thought sherlin would be exposed at the mandap, but instead the writer's shocked the audience by showing sherlin and prithvi winning once again in such a big way, audience would have felt hugely irritated and cheated with this over-hyped track, hence I'm not surprised that despite the patience shown by the audience since 1 and a half years for at least sherlin's exposure, the audience would slowly give up on the show after the writer's fooling the audience by showing sherlin succeeding in marrying rishabh after stretching their marriage track for more than a year.

Balaji's writers are really pushing it when it comes to viewer's patience. The stretching of the marriage track and villains constantly failing the exposure plans of good guys was bore very well with complete patience by viewers only with the expectation of the typical mandap exposure, but by cheating viewers out of the satisfaction and entertainment of seeing sherlin and prithvi ultimately failing in their plan to get sherlin married to rishabh and by mocking viewer's patience I feel and hope the show's viewership drops to teach the writer's a lesson.
