Preeta walking towards Srishti as Rishabh looks on- Symbolic?

Hey all!

Don't know if I will watch this show for long since this is typical EK fare designed to be the slot leader, but here goes my prediction on how the show will pan out.

Time and a lot of experience with EK shows 😛 has taught me that there is a reason for every single scene.

One of EK's favourite tropes is 'opposites attract'. She believes in bringing together the south and north poles of human personalities. She has done this in almost every show. Two people who initially like each other or have a positive opinion of each other NEVER end up with each other.

Does that sound like RishTa? Yes, it does.

Two people who hate each other and think poorly of one another almost ALWAYS end up together. I guess I don't need to say who that sounds like.

This seldom changes in EK shows unless she feels the audience will not accept the couple she has in mind.

What does that mean for the show? From my POV, it seems like PreeRan will happen while RishTa will not. Evidence, you ask? Let's look at the two ships.

RishTa- Both loving and dutiful. Responsible older siblings. The anchor of their families. Too alike for EK.

PreeRan- Total opposites. Karan is an irreverent player and commitment phobe while Preeta is sugar, spice and everything nice.

Let's talk about another favourite EK trope- 'reformarriages'. Yes, I just coined that term. 😆

The reason she pairs opposites together is so that there can be sparks and one can show their 'pyaar ki power' by reforming the other.

Other tropes she loves- sister vs sister/brother vs brother, two sisters in the same sasuraal, partner exchange. Kundali Bhagya provides her the perfect platform to have all these tropes in one show.

I also found the way Srishti looked at Rishabh during yesterday's scene between the three fishy. It seems like she thought of him as a knight in shining armor who saved her sister. She might think Rishabh is nice to Preeta 'cause of her.

Paralleling today's scene RishPreeTi scene, I think Rishabh and Preeta will fall for each other and Srishti will fall for Rishabh. Preeta, who loves her sister the most will sacrifice her relationship with Rishabh and RishTi/PreeRan will get married. Cue tashan between PreeRan and RishTi and Rishabh will become an angry young man post Preeta's betrayal leading to more and more drama.

Ye bhi ho sakta hai...ekta ke drama me vese aapne Jo kaha Vo predictable hai but dekhna ye hoga ke kyaa iss baar ekta ke drama me kuch revolution hota hai yaa vahi predictable track...

Hi dr. I agree with u regarding EK shows and her butchering of characters and tracks irreverently

Your analysis is so spot on... its like her got to formula for a hit show for ages now and it works so I doubt she will change that :)

I don't think EK will make Rishabh totally evil but will turn him into an anti-hero. It's actually exciting for Manit as an actor 'cause Indian TV viewers love anti-heroes. Manit has played negative roles in the past, so I think that's why EK cast him- to play the anti-hero.

Also, I am tired of characters like Karan having 'unworthy' girlfriends like Sofiya in her shows. Why is one girl worthy and another unworthy? I find it sexist. This sautan drama sucks. See Sofiya as the future Tanu of Kundali Bhagya.

Regarding love triangles, they are passe for EK. 😆 She loves quadrangles, hexagons etc.

So, in this case the quadrangle would be-

Srishti <3 Rishabh

Rishabh <3 Preeta

Preeta and Karan <3 each other

I see two love triangles on the show- RishPreeRan and RishPreeTi.

As for Sameer, he seems like a small time villain on the show- the kind who will bhadkao others. I think this actor has also played negative roles in the past so I don't see him being positive. Since Srishti is one of the male leads, they would not pair her with a minor character.

Yup... Completely agree with u.. Ab tho quadrangle wala love story dhikkana wali baaki hai in EK shows... Abse woh b dhekna ka mokka hai humari paass 😆
