| Surbhi Tiwari plays Abha in Kumkum — Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan | The character of Abha Chauhan is back in the thick of things in Kumkum — Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, along with her biggest dilemma — to be with Sumit (Hussain) or not.
For the last two months, Abha (played by Surbhi Tiwari) was missing from the afternoon Star Plus show; she was shown languishing in jail for killing Sumit's cousin, Nalli (Tarana Kapoor).
But the law has taken its course and it discovered that Nalli's killer is not Abha, but Salil (Kabir Sadanand), who is dead. Kumkum missing
"Abha is glad to be back home. It's reunion time with the family for her," says Tiwari about her return. "Though Abha is overjoyed to be out of jail, there is that tinge of sadness. Her best friend, Kumkum (Juhi Parmar) is behind bars for the killing of Salil," adds Tiwari. At a loose end
It is learnt that the track of this BAG Films show will have Kumkum once again requesting Abha to take care of Sumit and the family.
In the past, when Kumkum was suffering from a suspected brain tumour, Abha was drawn towards Sumit. But after Kumkum's recovery, Abha found herself at a loose end.
"There are all kinds of conflicting thoughts in Abha's mind about heeding Kumkum's request again," says Tiwari, also seen in the historical epic, Siraj-ud-Daula, on DD1.
Those who tune into the Kumkum drama will realise that Kumkum, too, is being framed for the death of Salil as the actual killer is the vitriolic Renuka (Tassnim Sheikh), who is back to her scheming game. Aversion to love
The character of Abha entered the drama in February this year. As the sister of Abhay Chauhan (Aman Varma), she was to take on Kumkum (Juhi Parmar). Her entry in the show was sudden; she was shown being saved by Kumkum in a road mishap.
Initially, under Abhay's influence she developed an aversion for Kumkum. But once she sees through what her brother is up to, Abha decides to start life on her own and becomes Kumkum's bosom pal. |
