Celebs tell you where to get the best diyas in city
Divya Palat, theatre actor
Since it the first Diwali in our new home, we are planning to light up the entire house with diyas and candles. My perennial candle obsession comes handy during the season; Amarsons and Atria Mall are good places to shop. Plus, I saw really funky kandils in roadside stalls at Mahim, that I plan to buy. Besides the usual, I am planning to dip my cockerspaniel Cookie's paws in rangoli, and create a paw-print design in front of the house. This way, everyone is involved in the festivities.

Mini Mathur, television anchor
I have ordered about 150 hand-painted diyas from a Delhi-based school for handicapped children. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my money this Diwali. In fact, I am also giving some of them away as gifts.

Shweta Gulati, television actor
I've bought blue and yellow Mirchi Lights, and mirror work diyas from Lokhandwala Market. If you have the time and patience, this market is the best place for variety and bargains. Besides, I also bought a variety of floating candles from FabIndia.

Juhi Parmar, television actor
I usually go back to Jaipur, to celebrate the festival with my family. This will be my first Diwali in Mumbai, and unfortunately, I don't even have the time for Diwali shopping. I will light the candles I already picked from Tresorie, and Shoppers' Stop. I will send my maid out to buy diyas, to add a more traditional touch to my home.

Sagarika Mukherjee, singer
I love decorating my terrace during Diwali. I buy basic, earthen diyas from Cheap Jack at Hill Road, Bandra, and then paint them myself. I also picked up really nice scented candles from a Bandra-based store called, Organica.

Tina Thadani, veejay
Since my landlord has already lit up the place with traditional diyas, exotic scented candles from Tresorie, Khar, will be my festive contribution.
