The evening, organised by Anil Wanvari, felicitated TV actors and actresses for their talents. The evening, compered by Cyrus Broacha and Mini Mathur, was naturally filled with jokes and laughter. Comic acts put up by Kamya Punjabi, Purbi Joshi, Ali Asgar and Juhi Parmar further added to the merry mood. Rahul Mahajan, the new telly celeb in town, made a grand entry. Dipsshikha, Chetan Hansraj, the duo of Ravi Behl and Naved Jaferi, Anoop Soni, JD Majethia, Rajan Shahi, Adita Wahi, Jay Bhanushali and singer Shweta Pandit were among the guests. Rajeev Khandelwal made a rare appearance too. Congratulations and awards apart, when it comes to dancing, these small screen stars are no less than their big screen counterparts, as was evident when Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy, Eijaz Khan, Sara Khan, Monica Bedi and others took to the stage for performances.

It was that night of the year to celebrate and retrospect at the year gone by' it's the only time when stalwarts to new comers from the television industry descend all at the same place to party and have fun. So, here they are' from Kamya Punjabi to Shweta Tiwari, from Ronit Roy to Eijaz Khan, Sara Khan to Monica Bedi, all made their presence at the 8th Indian Telly Awards on December 18, 2008 at the Chitrakut Grounds, Veera Desai Road, Andheri (W).
The evening was hosted by the motor-mouth Cyrus Broacha and the adorable Mini Mathur. There was more to the celebration then just the naach gaana, the evening had some rib tickling comic acts by Kamya Punjabi, Purbi Joshi, Ali Asgar and winner of Comedy Circus 2 Juhi Parmar.
