Harleen has no rights

Harleen wants power in Malhotra house thats all

She wants everyone to dance as per her wish thats all

She is so scared Purvi will become famous saving Rv again and again

Shes not that bothered about RV her son safety or release

All shes bothered is her ownership in Malhotra mansion and family

Indeed shes not allowed Vaishali who is her sister in law any power in house last 30-40 years which itself is wrong

While in reality Vaishali and Harleen are bahu of dadi

Indeed its dadi who must be in charge of house not Hraleen going by rules if elders should be obeyed

It should be dadi ordering all around not Harleen as elder of house

Instead Harleen has snatched dadi rights and ordering all around in house

I have seen in familys even 90 year old great grand moms order or handle money keys etc in joint family and all bahu, grand bahu , great grand bahu follow the orders of 90 year old

But here Harleen has been given too much freedom and allowed to do her man mani as elder bahu by dadi and dadu and harman from starting only i think

Above that problem is RV her favourite boy and son is one who is business owner so he must be giving her all money crores to handle house every year than his dadi or wife

Now Harleen is scared that if Purvi saves RV again in molestation case dadu, harman, RV, chachu, yug all will become her fan and RV may give all money and keys of house or locker to Purvi

So shes doing politics in house in such important grave matter or case

Shes least bothered to save Rv shes more bothered about her power and control over Malhotra family members

So now shes become dictatorial and not ready to give up her place to others be it vaishali, deepika before or purvi now

How she taunted Rv for giving money bag to purvi to keep in locker before was for all to see

At 60 plus too she wants to order all around and keep all locker keys

One major reason joint family breaks nowadays in india is one person dominates and orders others, others have no power or rights to decide anything no money etc and the person incharge acts dictatorial be it mother in law or bhabhi etc like harleen doing

I am surprised harleen or deepika have not raised this issue at home so many years

You have raised multiple points. I think at the root of Harleen behavior is her being a simpleton/dumb person who is not capable of doing any long term thinking. Harleen has two point agenda.

1. Her son RV should not be inconvenienced for even a minor thing (as if he is 5 year old and treated with soft gloves), she is also very possessive of him.
2. Purvi is Khushi's sister, and RV married her for revenge. An apple doesn't fall from tree, so Purvi must be like Khushi and treated with suspicion every time.

She cant see that her son is a grown up man who is responsible for his mess or take care of those messes. And Purvi is a different person from Khushi and RV can change his opinion/feelings towards her. She is capable of becoming neutral towards Purvi as long as Purvi is being useful in making RV's life comfortable. Harleen doesn't see her as independent person but a tool for RV' comfort. We have enough examples for that.

• Harleen told Monisha she doesn't care what she does to Purvi but RV should not be inconvenienced in any way when he had to walk few kilometers on the way to RajVi honeymoon.
• She was nice to Purvi when she helped in clinching the deal with Mehra and after terrorists/snake incident and was treating her like the DiL, all for the benefit of RV.
  
• She also treated Monisha badly when she tried to interfere in RV's honeymoon, during the pooja preparation (snake incident one) and slapped her for mixing salt in dinner cooked by Monisha.
• Even right now, she is harping on Purvi is the reason for RV being in jail. Because her son is in jail and she cant do zilch about it. Purvi is easy target as she cant get to Neha, So embarrassment in media because of her absence & this incident being a stark reminder of past one is making her take out her anger on Purvi. Monisha & gang is adding ghee into fire. She gave a wrong picture of that happened between RajVi before the party. She cant think of long term and show a united front with Purvi to not cause further media scrutiny.

Now coming back to Power structure in Malhotra house. I don't see anything wrong in Dadi not running the house on a day to day basis. She is old and deserves to be relieved from such things. Harleen should be first among equals between her and Vaishali but because Malhotra's money comes from RV's success, so does Harleen' power. RV depends on her and empowers her (& rightly so, she is his mother who had seen enough problems because of him falling in love, her husband had an heart attack, her daughter's rishta was broken). RV will stop depending on her (if RV trusting Purvi with Mehra's money is any indication) once he has another woman in his life in real sense.

Biggest problem now is deepika and Monisha- both will destroy RV in their desire to marry Monisha to RV

If Purvi is to be blamed for RV drinking a lot, than all road rage can be blamed on wife trouble or boss trouble etc

Everything wrong a person does mostly is in anger or jealous or greed, RV did in anger of Purvi drank a lot.
