Harmless casual flirting is normal and healthy. Like he himself said he'd have been very friendly with a guy as well but that isn't flirting. So Ranbir isn't at fault, if both parties are comfortable then who is prachi to intervene. Besides even if he really was flirting with her, it's still fine right? He isn't a saint. He is a normal person. And prachi hasn't really said anything to him,she hasn't even rejected him and it's kinda unfair to expect him to just keep waiting all the time. And even then it was just harmless flirting, doesn't mean he is in love with that girl.
