True because maybe he knows how protective his mother is over him. So he thinks it's the mothers love and sentiments. But if it crosses a point,I am sure he will stand for Prachi. Atleast I hope I am right. Because if they make him spineless with respect to his mother then there'd be no point in all this uniqueness they have developed in pranbir or no point in ranbir's beautiful character sketch so far. Give it time, he just started yelling at rhea,he has never done that before so standing against his mom and chief will take more time. Besides Vikram and dida are on his side

I am slightly not sure pallavi's relationship will be the same with prachi like it used to. In her eyes, because of prachi only the molestation case got complicated and she doesn't know that they were all well thought out plans which her laadla beta flopped and she never will know that

If he is going to be spineless

Then there is going to be nothing new typical

EK show where the female has to prove herself again and again

Her life is not a normal life but a continuous exam.

But he did stand up in front of rhea

And had tried telling his mother that it was his fault although he did not stand up against his mother he still took the blame on himself

Better than just keeping quite and seeing prachi insulted.
