is kkb being sacrificed for another show? is it that the writers and producers and whoever felt that the spin off was not going to make a good impression on its own and as such had to bring in the big guns from kkb to launch it...is it in doing so they have held back the story of kkb so that this can happen...to all of the above the answer seems to be ...yes...when I heard that a spin off was being launced,,about pragya's two sisters that were kidnapped by their father etc etc...it really did not set off my interest at all,,,,because of the fact that in all the years that kkb has been running there was no room for other sisters,,,,I could understand a father...but I could not understand how there were other blood sisters that were somewhere out there and pragya did not know about...when the father was introduced I was ok with it...but when the reason for him leaving pragya and 'kidnapping' his daughters so that he can get revenge from sarla for finding him with another lady...I was seriously like ,,,,whaaattt,,,,,,,if course logic has nothing to do with shows as we are all aware off,,,,then lo and behold the spin off started,,,the baba left before pragya could take him back with them and kdb hit the lineup,,,,i have no problem with a spin off,,,,but my peeve is ,,,is that it should stand on its own foundation,,,,it was alright for abhi and pragya to make a guess appearance but the initial settings kept on showing abhi and pragya being an integral part of kdb...deliberately done...or course it was,,,,,in the meantime kkb story was given a back seat,,,,,it has been dragging more than usual but what has kept us viewers happy and alive in the show has always been abhi and pragya chemistry...now it seems that even that has been killed,,,,,sarla ma has been relocated to kdb,,,,the marriage hall that has been the basis of kkb has been moved and resurrected in kdb...a lot of the essence of kkb was taken away and given to kdb,,,,is this fair? no it is not,,,,now the girls have found their family which took less than a week,,,the rockstar being the element that brought them to their mother...I thought that they would be searching for their family and as such in this journey would meet their respective male leads...but it seems that the marketing and production had no or little faith in their leads to go this way,,,,now the story seems to be of another love triangle story and the same saas all over again,,,,,will kdb be able to hog the limelight,,,,are the leads in the show a better match than abhi and pragya,,,,are the viewers to seem to have knocked kkb in favour of kdb soon realise that this too is the same and may end up with even more dragging and uninteresting storyl ines than kkb...time will tell,,,,but in the meantime,,,kkb has been shot in the foot and put on bed rest whilst the doctors attend to the spin off,,,,this is my pov,,,,,everyone has a different prospective,,,,i have not watched the spin off,,,i have seen post on ig,,,,,I am hurt that kkb was pushed to the back to allow kdb to happen,,,,and for me this was a big slap in the face for all the loyal viewers who for the past three years have stuck with it through thick and thin,,,do the production care about us viewers ,,,no I don't think so,,,do zee care about its top show kkb,,,does not seem so,,,,but they should because it has been the leading show for the channel for the longest while,,,because the rest of their weekly shows really have very poor viewership,,,,so yes I am upset,,,,i am not pleased about kkb had become,,,,but I am hoping that soon the story will become the greatest love story again in the history of zee tv,,,

KKB seems to have been sacrificed for KDB. KDB has started off with good promos from KKB leads, started off positively and colorfully with scenes developing at fast rates. The Luthra household seems to contain more members than MM and more sensible people and not so bad ones except Kareena. The Arora sisters though coming from a village seem to be better dressed than city girls.

But KKB started off so originally with the Arora household shown realistically and the Arora ladies were so natural in their acting, RS Dadi, Pragya, Sarla maa, Bulbul, Janki amma, Purvi, Suresh etc that though they were from middle class set up looked so rich in their outlook of morality and righteousness and helping others,were very natural in their bonding with each other. And the way Pragya got married to Abhi, the way she entered MM mansion, the way she suffered there with all the insults and taunting and even physical abuse from her own husband (all the dropping downs and dances), Sriti as Pragya really stole the show. Shabir as rock star was unique and splendid. But what moved everyone more was the soft nature of Pragya, her innocence, her silent nature, her attitude, her bold outward appearance and dignity but suffering inside, that is what made Sriti as Pragya so special. So, how can the writers even think of slowly killing away her character, first reducing the character in dignity and then almost making her disappear from the scene all together. Actually, any good writer will be so concerned about its main characters, they will look after the characters as their own creation and build it beautifully. But here when the actor herself has done such a good job in creating a character Pragya embedded so deeply into the hearts of its viewers, how can he have the heart to destroy it like this. Is it to promote KDB and its female leads?

I have been venting my frustration in all the threads, sometimes out of context also but feeling so let down by the writers, thought that they will put an end to the anticipation after each track but realizing that the writers have other ideas of their own, that is to pay no heed to the loyal fans but to keep on throwing their bullshits into our faces. Already without KDB launch, they were slowly destroying the serial but at least we had hopes that they will have to show some happy episodes also but now with the KDB launch all that has been destroyed completely seeing how they are treating KKB and Abhigaya now.
