A readymade platter

I don't understand this negativity towards that soap which has barely started.It's not like KKB was some novel concept etc. Many plots and scenes here are drawn from previous EK soaps/other soaps (movies too lol) even scene to scene sometimes!! Are we gonna argue KKB got undue advantage because it had successful Ekta behind too now? And may I argue why they are recycling old successful tracks and methods to promote KKB too?

PS: Perhaps one could be happy too that this show is giving birth to another show.

Hi Tia if we had Pragya and she wasn't given a backseat the backlash would had been avoided..Secondly there are many ekta shows and sorry but all aren't successful.Kkb is what kkb because of its cast and Tisha majorly..The concept isn't extraordinary but the acting is phenomenal.

I don't agree the success is only due to acting!! Some of the other shows involving these actors weren't as successful just like some other EK soaps may not have been so successful. Having said that, EK does have a great track record.

And I don't think even the actors would dare to say the success is only because of them. They always credit the whole team.. and so it should be. Just that most audience LOVE actors (understandable.. they only see them but not the crew.) but do not appreciate the team behind them although they also work equally hard if not more.. and may be paid less also.

And no Pragya is not given a backseat.. Munni and Abhi story is building again like it did in Mogambo and Abhi, or ML Abhi secretary Pragya etc. It's the same old stuff in a new package. Rest of the actors too are the same.

If you are anyway talking about acting.. it's still the same actors. I don't know why that's a big deal.

you are right the show is no. 1 because of sriti and shabbir's mindblowing acting...but hope writer of kkb understand that fans want abhigya's chemistry

A successful company will start their branch in some other place.
The success of its main branch will help the newly started branch. The newly started branch will have their benefits and the old employees are transferred to the newly started branch to use their experience in building the new branch.

Sometimes, the newly started branch gets more benefits, just like how the younger baby is more pampered.

KKB is a successful soap, a spin off is something like a branch. Abhi / Pragya are the experience employees promoting the new show.

That's how business is done!

With all due respect to forum members and the actors, a show is successful for many reasons. Not just lead actors. Shabir and Sriti are terrific. But there's more to it.

If the PH and Producers had so much faith in the talent and theme why spin off?Better start a new show..Because I highly feel spin off are for the existing show's star cast..Would had been happy if they would had shown a spin off with Purab and bulbul.As it was worth it

Even if kdb gets trps it's not because of them ,it's because of hell confused kkb viewers they will be getting it.

As a Channel and Production house both Zee & Balaji have copy rights on KKB and its their business how they want to use it, capitalize on it or expand it..Best wishes for their new venture.

I think spin off is probably the best word because it's not a prequel or a sequel. The show is connected to kkb. Also, I feel Balaji has been intentional about keeping things confusing so that both shows are open for viewers' own interpretation. This confusion can also make viewers tune in to one or both shows to find out what's happening and not necessarily make them stop watching. If they watch both shows, then good trp's for both shows.


In a poll post in kdb forum, most people were watching that show for the female lead. So looks like the actors in that show have their own fan following and are not dependent on kkb. Let's see:)
