Pragya might be suffering from fugue state says JD. You can google it. It is a rare psychiatric disorder characterized by reversible amnesia for personal identity, including the memories, personality, and other identifying characteristics of individuality. The state can last days, months or longer. Dissociative fugue usually involves unplanned travel or wandering, and is sometimes accompanied by the establishment of a new identity.
Oh this is a new medical term for me! Head injuries resulting in different type of amnesia's has been a normal plot line in many Indian movies and TV shows, and Indian audience is quite familiar with the happenings, but 'Fugue' How much does Indian audience know and relate to such state, symptoms and happenings? Even in a film like Sadma, a grown up Sridevi suddenly starts behaving like a 7 yr old as her memory go backs in timeline and gets stuck at that period and audience could connect to that theme. Last year when initially ML spoilers were out, I doubted if writers are planning to make Pragya go thru a child like phase with an ML, but this may be altogether a bouncer, if it happens 'new identity, new personality, wanderers'..😕
Not sure if Balaji writing team has so much time, interest, creativity and focus to spend in research of a medical state like 'Fugue' which rarely occurs in only 0.2% of population and then develop a concrete plot line around that..🤔 Has any famous Hollywood film or English show used such medical state against their leads earlier? I once read cold storage murder attempt incident used earlier this year in KKB was lifted directly from an English show..😛 So possibilities of lifting are easy and high if this state hasn't been used in any other Balaji shows till now..
Read about 'Fugue' it requires therapy, hypnosis, medication - looks like a complicated process to recover patients and bring them out of past trauma that could have triggered this disassociated state.. may not be the case of similar accident and similar injury can make them normal like what happened in Abhi's case..
