No women would agree to play this kind of game that too with a brother to get the man she loves, obviously her method looks desperate & cheap atleast for me

Some feel its ok & some feel its disgusting & cheap.

She denied her relationship with Purab thrice in front of Abhi. It's not her plan, she denied even after Purab told her that it's his plan. She wasn't excited for this plan. She didn't ask Purab to go to jail. It's not her fault that Purab wants AbhiGya to unite. I have said this many times that I don't think this plan was even necessary. But till now I haven't seen anything cheap and disgusting happening between Purab or Pragya. And till now, the plan is working. In just one day Abhi has realized that he cares so much for Pragya.
We have completely different opinions. Let's agree to disagree then!!😆😉

Yes, Sowmii. Unfortunately, all rituals of marriage, symbols and signs of marriage and the very meaning of marriage are being mocked.
I remember Mina writing very beautifully what it means to be in a marital relationship, where both the involved parties make a conscious decision and make a promise to each other to love, cherish, protect each other in front of families, God and law. Here Abhi is not consciously doing anything now, jut following the useless rituals and in his mind he is marrying 🤬. He goes along with the rituals with Pragya without his mind in it and mindfully with 🤬. How is that supposed to make us happy? It is not that he doesn't understand the significance of these rituals, his and the show's excuse is he doesn't believe in them or Pragya has to understand that these don't mean anything from his side, but she should be happy with those crumbs🤢🤢.

They haven't left anything left untouched, pure and sacred in the true sense🤢😭

Sowmii, this is what Mina wrote what marriage is. I haven't seen such a beautiful, thoughtful and touching description of the institution of marriage before.

Mina, I hope you don't mind me posting this excerpt. I just love what you wrote👏⭐️

Can we take a step back and look at what marriage is. It is a social institution, ritualized and sanctified by religion and codified by law. It is a public commitment to uphold commonly held expectations, and in the case of some couples who write their own commitments, to live out specific agreements between the two of them. Marriage isn't something you do unconsciously. It's an experience you build every day with conscious choices after committing to each other - usually with your family, your God and your government as witness, and if not all three at least one of them will likely be there.

The idea that Abhi is fulfilling his responsibilities unconsciously is dramatic and romantic, but I also find it deeply offensive and unsettling. How can you credit or blame him for his performance as a husband if he doesn't know he's a husband? The whole point of being a husband is that everyone knows that you've taken up the responsibility of being a married man.

Sowmi, you reminded us that this post is about how the show mocks the institution of marriage. I noticed you mentioned Abhi taking the pheras.
Pragya pretending to be someone else's gf if they're married is also a mockery of marital relationships, right? I'd agree with you that on the whole this show mocks all loving and sibling relationships and institutions - family, society, and marriage. But if you're singling out one character, then it forces me to look at others who have violated as well. Thanks!
