I was serious in my answer.
Abhi needed an excuse to dance with Pragya.
(Jumped at the opertunity.)
He created an excuse to not dance with Tanu.
Abhi liked dancing with Pragya.
Abhi believes that Purab is not the right suitor/bf for Pragya.
Abhi gets a chance to get intimate with Pragya.
HE IS NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE of drinks.
This time he is doing it out of his own will(getting intimate).
Obviously he will know about his true feelings for pragya.
Naturally he will now need an excuse for rejecting if not stalling his wedding with Tanu.
When provided with one he will use it wholeheartedly.

Abhi might say that Tanu does not deserve Abhi.
Abhi is tainted and has cheated her.
Tanu deserves someone better.
As far as marrying Pragya is concerned ,Abhi will still hesitate as Purab is there.
Somehow the Abhi I see is smart with the limited options that he is given.
The presence of ppl around ,whom he cares ,prevents him from showing his true intentions.
This plan will not end this simply.
Abhi needs a lot of help.
Tanu's mom's health is still her huge advantage.
Something more drastic will happen.
There are a few oldies ,willing to act,to help Pragya here.
