Aliya's plan will trap him into believing he did something wrong to Tanu. Just like how she trapped him to propose to Tanu.

They have to show Abhi trapped in the clutches of Alia and Tanu to move the story and give Tanu something to do. Because right now Abhi is just ignoring her.. so even if nothing happens in Lonavala they might pretend like Abhi did something terrible with Tanu. Just a guess..
