Begining of the episode itself made me wonder, so here comes another glitch.
Arora's have always stayed as a middle class family in a small independent ground floor portion house in Chembur all these years, as per what was shown to KKB viewers and unfortunately we didn't suffer short or long term memory loss and remember the show. Suddenly Arora's have shifted to an upstairs portion (but interiors of the house remain same) may be part of a chawl like building as so many passengers were shown moving on the stairs??
Even in this ML track whenever Abhi visited them with Pragya, it was shown he was directly visiting a ground floor house and from their window even street was visible! Sarla ma mortgaged the same house to bail out her daughter from jail to pay surety in court. Don't PH, editing, art, direction team and cast remember what they have shot earlier in the show that too for such a long time???
This sudden U turn from Sangeet episode when Abhi genuinely missed Nikku and was confused about his feelings for her, to feeling protective and jealous during dinner date to showing him now as a friend willingly going about to organize her engagement after getting brainwashed by Taaliya, whom he knows very well that they detest her very presence and suspecting easily his bhai Purab to be a womanizer as one who uses and throws away girls on his fancies, sounds so unconvincing as a plot.
1) Sarla could have just told Abhi that she disapproves Purab who spent a night in jail on charges of molesting a girl and that she will find her another eligible groom for her daughter as per Pragya's choice taking her own time could have ended the matter.
2) Sarla could have also shunned Abhi off saying he has no right to fix her daughters marriage as her daughter is no orphan and she will plan and organize her daughters wedding within her house as per her own muhurat or kundali etc.
3) Pragya could have told Abhi that she took his advice from dinner date night seriously and broke up with Purab before his announcement of engagement and doesn't want to get married to him as she feels Purab is also incompatible with her based on jodi no.1 questions that they have answered in the pub.
4) Dadi and Pragya lamenting on they don't know what to do to stop this impending engagement seemed silly. Dadi or Sarla ma can always fake some sudden illness based on their health history to postpone the party and to buy some time atleast.
Abhi is being shown to be happy in another way that the money he is going to spend for party & shopping will allow him to make Purab & Pragya his bonded labour for lifetime and he wants to control and make them work as he likes forever! How disrespectful this is to Purab who was supposed to be Abhi's childhood friend and brother considering him as his own family, even if Nikku is a new entry into his world as a secretary?
One small thing caught my attention in entire episode. Aliya threatened Pragya yesterday on phone that there will much more drama waiting to unfold in engagement party and she will bring down Sarla ma, she said she already has another solid plan in wings.
Later Aliya hinted indirectly to Abhi in shopping mall that Pragya is blushing as if she is going to be bride for the first time! My guess, if at all engagement party happens, Aliya may plan to publicly humiliate Arora family and Pragya further by saying Pragya already has another boyfriend or husband, that she is cheap, gold digger, cheater, characterless and may produce Nikhil or another hired guy as Pragya's boyfriend or husband in party. Nikhil hasn't been introduced yet to Abhi, so makes me very doubtful of this scenario.
Aliya expected Sarla ma to throw out Abhi from her house out of anger and snap all ties with him when he shares her daughters engagement news with him in person, it didn't happen. Taaliya expected Pragya and family to flee from Mumbai or commit suicide to escape engagement with her brother-in-law, it is yet to happen.
Aliya's primary target is to throw out Pragya forever from Abhi's life and not to keep her before his eyes and in his house as Purab's girlfriend or his secretary as her continuous presence may help revive Abhi's memory that she can't risk. With the obsession, hatred and revenge that is filled within her, Aliya would never allow Purab to move on in his life with another girl. If Pragya doesn't run away and attends party, then she may have more shocks to face in Aliya's hands, as per KKB history any party in MM has to be disgusting with some new public attacks to defame Pragya. 😭
After looking at another promo released by Zee today, it is clear that this weeks episodes may again be some fillers with lame excuses from Purab and Pragya to postpone the engagement rather than cancel it altogether or to make Abhi realize he has taken a wrong decision by hurrying this engagement. Looks like more filler episodes get added before starting another Tanu wedding function in the show.
Many viewers have different tastes and reasons to watch daily shows. I felt it wasn't worth to be called maha episode to sit thru and watch for 1 hr based on my long time association with KKB as it takes few minutes to read an update. But there are also some fans rejoicing mon epsiode only for that one scene in shopping mall where Abhi puts dupatta on Pragya's head, they have an eyelock with Sanam re song playing in background. 😛
