When Abhi married Pragya, he had bad intentions, he had misunderstandings and he had so much against her.
Yet, very soon, Pragya had started to feel for him. And in a few months she was in love with him.
All this would not have happened if Abhi was not honest. Abhi was honest when he said he hated her because she had snatched Purab from his sister. Pragya could get clarity on his stand where he was doing something for his sister, under a misunderstanding. He also stood up for what he felt right, irrespective of whose side he took, whenever situation called for that. And all that made Pragya fall in love with Abhi.
Likewise Pragya maintained her stand on their marriage that she was going to respect that marriage no matter what. Eventually she also told him how she feels about him without worrying whether the situation as favourable or not. And Abhi also eventually fell in love with that Pragya.
But in Mogambo track, Pragya was dishonest with him. She lied every day. She tried to tell truths in twisted ways. Either by taunting him, trying to play Tannu down, trying to build proofs against Tannu... what not. It had become a game between Tannu and Pragya where one tried to outdo the other. In the end, both had lost credibility with Abhi and he rather wanted to suffer alone than turning to either of those women to share his heart.
But then Pragya felt the dead end. She didn't know what to prove, how to play this game anymore. So she finally bared her heart, she told him about all her struggle, her truths and the situation. She didn't pretend to be someone she wasn't but simple opened her secrets naked in front of him. And that worked magic for her. She had no agenda, she had no expectations, she had no plotting.. all she did was to tell truths as they were.
And he believed her. And he understood. And all that touched his heart.
Ultimately honest and truth won. These are the basics for any relationship.
While I have been mad at the writers for this whole Mogmabo track, I really like how they ended it. They ended it the right way. This could have been done a long time ago and the result would have been the same. Imagine Pragya doing it right away as she heard the truth, or when she lost BB, or one of those moments Abhi was feeling low, or when her mother was paralyzed. The result could have been exactly this.
