Often we are shown Pragya day dreaming (or let's say having daymares) about how Sarla Maa or Abhi would react to certain difficult situations.
One of the first incidents was Pragya thinking Abhi will tell Maa about their marriage situation and Maa fainting (possibly having a heart attack?) about that. This daymare happens during PuLiyah engagement.
But what actually happens is that, Abhi does not even drink alcohol in the party to respect Maa. I do acknowledge that in this situation, Pragya was newly married into that sad hate marriage and can't be expected to understand Abhi. But what she thought about Maa was completely wrong.
Maa does get to hear Abhi's attitude to Pragya and the cracks/lack of trust/faith in their marriage at one point during MMS track. Maa's reaction at that time is not fainting or having heart attack or crying. But what that brave woman does is to ask Pragya to come back to Arora house leaving Abhi.
Maa also reacts very similarly when she overhears about TaBhi pregnancy. She goes to Abhi straight and gives him a tight slap! She defends her daughter and fully supports her.
Basically Sarla Maa stands by Pragya with her marriage problems and supports her unconditionally. Whereas from the beginning Pragya tolerates lies and lives a fake marriage due to her fear that Maa won't be able to take it.
And when Pragya turns Mogambo, she chooses to keep her Maa out of it. This is because she assumes Maa will not agree to this drama. But now we know how Maa has been keeping quiet for Pragya. However, Maa has helped Pragya too big time by facing TaKhil and even helps in identifying Nikhil as the baby daddy. She also takes proactive steps to expose TaKhil during Nikhil's accident.
Goes to show Pragya's assumptions about her mother have been her own fears than being realities.
Coming to Abhi, the other person she loves in the same lines as Maa, we all have seen how Pragya can never tell him any truth in the fear of him not taking it right.
Again, I am not questioning her for not telling her truth during the initial days of marriage, but now in this Mogambo track, she has assumed Abhi will not take it right or that he will never trust her.
But we all have seen today how Abhi was willing to trust Pragya more than Tannu. Or at least he wants to investigate into the matter rather than blindly believing Tannu.
However, given Pragya reads Abhi wrong, she has never been able to tell him the truth and easily gets misguided by others if she ever thought of telling him.
And her dreams on how he would react to her upon truth revelation have been on the same note. She fears he would slap her or divorce her because of that. She forgets that Abhi himself wasn't sure of making that baby in the beginning or that he wanted to stay with her (Pragya ) despite Tannu's pregnancy situation once upon a time.
Too bad Pragya makes wrong assumptions about the two most important people in her life and puts them through misery while her intentions are not exactly to hurt them.:-(
Pragya needs to realize on her insecurities and lack of judgement about these two people.
