A month ago when Simar, the lead character in 'Sasural Simar Ka', turned into a makkhi, viewers were shocked beyond their wits. Now, a gorilla is wooing Thapki in 'Thapki Pyar Ki'! 'Anything for TRPs' seems the latest mantra on Indian television. With the outlandish becoming the buzzword, here's a look at some recent examples.
Thapki is wooed by a Gorilla in 'Thapki...Pyar Ki'
The gorilla who entered the show recently is slowly falling in love with Thapki (Jigyasa Singh). As if being pursued by two lead actors was not enough, the makers have now introduced a third suitor for the lead actress.
Kabir turns into a saand in 'Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum'
After Rahul Sabharwal (Karan Kundra) metamorphosed from a rockstar into a tiger overnight on the show, it is now Kabir (Aly Goni) who will become a saand (bull). So as Karan roars, Aly gears up to fight him with his horns!

A show focussing on changing age-old societal traditions actually introduced a ghost track recently. Perhaps, they also got lured by the ratings other shows' supernatural tracks were garnering. So, here they showed Aaradhya (Sana Sheikh) being possessed by a spirit.

Can a woman be pregnant for more than a year? Yes, the makers of the show have proved even science wrong with Tanu (Leena Jumani) being pregnant with Nikhil Sood's (Nikkhil Arya) child for more than a year now. And by the way, there's just a small baby bump even now to show that she is expecting.
