Abhigya scene analysis: LM track summarised

First of all- what a cute scene!!! Thank you CVs for making me smile and giving my favourite TV jodi a scene with substance. There was something very realistic to it, laid back (not just because Abhi lay back 😆) and I saw that old Abhigya again from the early episodes.

TiSha, the brilliant actors that they are, made it all look very natural. There was a husband and wife, waiting at the hospital, in the darkness of the night and dim lighting of the hospital, tending to their basic needs of food and tiredness/sleep. I will now analyse the Abhigya scene from start to finish and (here comes the overanalysing 😆 ) explain to you why I believe this scene metaphorically summed up the whole LM track thus far.

Abhi is seen texting a client to be professional- something Pragya has encouraged him to be. That's super sweet- good on you Abhi! 👍🏼 This shows Pragya has encouraged Abhi to be a better person, a sign of a very healthy relationship. It also shows how much Abhi respects Pragya and how he truly cares what Pragya thinks of him. For him, much like Pragya, he doesn't really care about what others think about him save for the people he loves the most. A nice touch to the scene, CVs!

LM track: In the LM avatar, Pragya wanted him to be better with his work and become an even better rockstar than he already is. This bit in the scene shows that Pragya has achieved that in a way. Funny though because Pragya wasn't LM when she told Abhi to be professional- she was being Pragya, Abhi Mehra's wife. So this just shows Pragya is not able to change Abhi as LM but rather when she's being herself. LM avatar was never going to be successful.

Next bit, Pragya gives Abhi, who is hungry, the food- the last one in the store- and refuses to eat it because she says she's not hungry. I love Pragya. I really love Pragya. I don't know if she was hungry or not but even if she was, seeing Abhi eat and not be hungry was enough for her. Pragya has almost taken on not just the role of a wife and friend, but also a maternal figure which Abhi has always been missing. Now she cares for him in abundance. How can you not love Pragya? She's a genuine sweetheart without trying to be. I don't know if I've said this but I love Pragya. 😆

LM track: LM track was a full on 'Pragya sacrifices almost everything for Abhi' track. And this scene shows how she's willing to sacrifice anything for this nautanki we all love, Abhi. She will do anything possible to keep him happy. Abhi said, 'How did you know I was hungry?'. Because she's Pragya, Abhi. She takes everything of yours in consideration and can understand you (most of the time). Throughout this LM track, Pragya has been keeping an eye on Abhi's back and has done as much as she deemed possible to protect him. But Abhi has some perks of his own...

Abhi refuses to eat the food by himself- wants to share it 50-50 with Pragya. Pragya agrees and they eat together, taking a bite each with Abhi feeding her. CVs, you got this scene bang on! 👏No long eye-locks, perfect length of scene, smiles all around, very natural and believable, and you finally fulfilled Pragya's wish of being fed by Abhi! 😃 This part was just so cute. Husband and wife eating the same thing together and just enjoying the moment. And Abhi wasn't being selfish with his food for once!!! 😆 I especially liked this scene because TiSha were amazing (as always) and Abhi thought about Pragya's well-being before his hunger😆.

LM track: Pragya wanted to sacrifice everything for Abhi and help him in this LM track, even to her own expense... The only thing is, Abhi won't let that happen. He's just as determined to protect her happiness. Pragya's always giving up stuff for him but then he always comes back to help and support her. The countless number of times Abhi has saved her from her villians and cheered her up on the worst days just shows that Pragya's 'all-sacrficing' attempts are almost ineffective. Abhi will always be there to give back (and sometimes more than) as much as she sacrifices for him.

Pragya hiccups due to spiciness of the food and Abhi gives her water.Pragya blames him for not warning her, Abhi protests, Pragya thanks him eventually for sharing. This was another cute and funny scene. In general, it just shows these two will never stop fighting and that's just the way these crazy ones roll. 😆 But at the same time, while it easy for them to blame each other and fight over the problems in their life, it's just as easy for them to forgive, forget, appreciate one another and make up. These two are just cuteness all the way! ❤️

Abhi sleeps on Pragya's shoulder, wakes up suddenly remembering Tanu's medication, Pragya offers to go instead and helps Abhi be comfy on the sofa. Yeap. Cute. Sleep has always been a huge thing in Abhigya's relationship. The favourite pillow, bed (border), watching each other sleep, putting each other in bed covers properly, making sure each other is able to sleep well, Abhi always wanting to rest his head on Pragya's lap- you name it, Abhigya are 101 on how couples should address the idea of 'sleep' (starting from how to handle 'hubby's favourite pillow situation').😆 They looked so peaceful in this scene! Just resting, closing their eyes, using each other as support. Pure perfection! Abhigya are often the most calm and romantic at night- night is when romance blooms for them 😉. I could go on about this bit but I want to focus on why this bit is extremely relevant to the LM track...

LM track: Once again, Pragya always gave Abhi a shoulder to lean on in this LM track- this scene was just very literal! 😆 There you had Abhi being peaceful, lying very snuggly on his one true love's shoulder- a dream come true for him... peaceful... enjoying Pragya's presence... their love...and then... BANG! Tanu! He woke up because of Tanu. Gotta take care of her... more like 'his' baby. Throughout this whole LM track, Abhigya have romanced in almost every episode but Tanu and her pregnancy has always ruined their peace. She is the reason they have not been fully able to unite once and for all. And what does Pragya do? She stops him from going to Tanu. With good intentions of course- she wants Abhi to rest and be happy. And she can help Tanu out- the baby never did anything wrong, right? So the amazingly kind person that she is, she helps Abhi get comfortable, providing him with an alternative to sleep and goes off to help Tanu. Abhi even turns to look at Pragya before she leaves as a sign of 'love' and appreciation for what she does for him. Oh, Pragya is such a cool girl! Always helping me. I love her.

NOOO!!! This was the most tragic bit of the whole scene, of the whole track! 😭 Why, Pragya?! If you weren't so nice, Abhi would've gone to the room himself and seen Takhil talking so nonchalantly and the truth would be out! And he doesn't want to sleep on the sofa arm- he wants your shoulder! He wants you- don't go off like that! LM tried so hard to bring Tanu's truth out but just like this, the little things such as Pragya's kindness have stuffed all her plans up. If she had meddled less, just been herself without having to be LM, Pragya would've helped Abhi out more than what she has done so far. No LM needed- just Pragya by Abhi's side.

There was more I had to say but I will end it here. I really liked the scene so would recommend all Abhigyan fans to watch it.

In short, if you haven't watched KKB in the last year or so, just watch episode 586 and you'll get a gist of what's been happening! 😆

I saw LM as Pragya's alter ego, a side of her with opposite qualities she lacked. The purpose of LM was to expose Abhi's enemies and save him!! I expected the selfish and bossy LM to do what soft Pragya couldn't and whip everyone into shape and get results. But LM didn't accomplish much - actually ended up driving away the people she loved and her enemies escaped.

Pragya struggled to be LM. We saw that many times when she told dadi she can't go on with this mission. Struggling to be LM is also about struggling to be selfish and have a self-interest. Like you said at the end of the vada pav scene, wish Pragya had been a bit self-centered and let Abhi walk in on takhil.

I like Pragya a lot too. But sometimes I have wondered if CV's are praising her or ridiculing her in this track! One thing I took away is that selflessness has self-defeating consequences too!
