Hello peeps! Guess I am in a writing spree again! I feel particularly empowered today (For no reason whatsoever!) so it's reflects on my OS too! This is different, hope you like it!

Mistletoe
Abhi and Tanu walked in hand-in-hand, followed by Purab and Bulbul and Neil and Aaliya - whatever it was, how could they miss the last grand event of their college life? Well it didn't look too bad, this Chirstmas party, that replaced the winter fest Mount College hosted every year - the earnings were to go for charity, so a bunch of people from various charitable organizations were here too - rules were strict - unlike the other years! They had to all be well behaved. The students had grumbled for not having an easy pass even for festivities, but they reluctantly agreed - well all of them, except one! This was her last college event, and after three years of waiting, tonight she would seize it - there was nothing to lose anyway!
She saw them entering, three men (oh they didn't look like boys tonight) in neat tuxes, and three ladies in breathtakingly beautiful one-pieces. She had shied away from this glamorous group for all three years in college, they intimidated her to say the least - but that couldn't stop her from falling head-over-heels in love with the guy in the group who sang very well - Abhishek. Everyone called him Abhi, but she preferred Abhishek, it was something others didn't call him, so using it made her feel special somehow - but all this was cutesy college romance for three years - her hiding behind pillars, peeping from the first bench, holding club meetings in the music room to just get a glimpse of him - he never really knew her, she was sure if they crossed roads in the future, he wouldn't even recognize her - that hurt her - she was shy, but at the fag end of college when she was sure that she would be seeing him for the last time, she wanted to finally make an impression - so that at least if they bump onto each other ten years down the line, he remembered her - her three years' worth of yearning at least deserved that bit of recognition!
She knew that his girlfriend Tanu and sister Aaliya had an inkling about her crush, they have often jeered at her unnecessarily throughout these three years - that made her go even lower in self-esteem and she never dared to come before him - but tonight that was changing, just the way her kurti and denims changed to a backless, low V-neck white gown tonight! She would walk up and steal the show tonight - come what may!

It was quarter to twelve by her watch, her autowala would soon be here to pick her up, even though determined, she kept pushing the task behind - waiting for the right moment - now was right, all were a bit tipsy and no-one would remember much, most of the guests were gone and only the students remained with the band, dancing to latest numbers. She took a deep breath and walked ahead, to make a difference, a step she was sure she will never regret. She saw him dancing with Tanu at a shadowy corner of the hall, very close, very intimate, her eyes stung, but her resolution wouldn't waver. She marched upto him and gently tapped on his shoulder, he broke from Tanu and looked back at her with a slight frown - those hooded eyes she wished all her life to look at her - it did today, her resolution was faltering, but it was her only chance to make her mark - she wouldn't step back.
"Yes?" she heard him say.
"What are you doing here Chashmish, can't you see we are busy" sneered Tanu from behind - it added the right fuel into her and in a swift motion she grabbed his shoulder and pulled him towards her, he lost balance and instinctively clutched her waist for that, and before the element of surprise was lost, she pressed her lips against his - he lay still for a moment, but her tongue provoked and assaulted him in the most mean way possible and soon he responded back with equal force - a moment was stolen from time, and neither knew how long or short the kiss was - it felt timeless for her. When they broke free, he seemed to come out of a trance, so did Tanu, and before the frown of confusion could cloud his face, or Tanu could open her mouth to abuse she quickly smiled and said, "Mistletoe" while pointing at one right over their head - then she left, walked away as the undisputed winner - she felt empowered and determined, she felt love and strength and most of all she felt at peace - the one you feel when the battle is over - she left the venue head held high - rest assured come what may Abhishek will never forget her face!

"Damn that s**t!" Tanu shrieked furiously, but it was too late Pragya had left.
Abhi casually turned to her, "No Tanu don't call her that - this needed guts and dignity! I will remember this for life"
