Sarla articulated an interesting perspective on Abhi today. She called him bhole bhale Abhi - highlighting the naivete, innocence and honesty she sees in him that have led him to be a victim of manipulative people and plans.
I thought it would be fun to catalogue the adventures of Bhole Bhale Abhi aka BBA...please add your own also! And the spirit of this list is to actually point out the ways in which other characters have arguably taken advantage of Abhi's better qualities, not to put down Abhi in any way.
ADVENTURES OF BBA
BBA...believed his best friend would be a good husband for his sister, only to be betrayed by that friend who couldn't openly tell him the truth that he'd fallen for someone else
BBA...repeatedly gave his wicked sister the benefit of the doubt and didn't see her true nature, enduring her hurting him and causing disaster in his life over and over
BBA...out of love for his undeserving sister, trapped an innocent girl into marriage despite his qualms about the plan
BBA...fell in love with Pragya, not understanding that she's the kind of person who can put principles above love and is therefore able to hurt him for the greater good when required
BBA...never realized his grandmother could play games with his life instead of straightforwardly telling him life-saving truths
BBA...hasn't considered that Tanu might have cheated on him and is ready to accept responsibility for a baby that isn't his based only on her word and one sonogram at a hospital
Add your own? I think there may be more. It's difficult for me to see Abhi as BBA so I'm not the best person to finish the list...still wanted to start it!
