Another round of Pati, patni, aur sauten!

Pragya gets bold and blackmails Tanu for 2 lakhs as a chowkidar who knows baby secret - a totally impromptu decision because she couldn't find anyone else to call Tanu. Fantastic voice modulation and accent!! She narrowly escapes getting caught by Tanu and Abhi. Yeah that was risky to call when Tanu was just outside. And why did she insist Tanu to call the # back ? Call back karki check karo na! She was so sure Tanu won't do that. She's good at mind games with Tanu. Gutsy move, girl! I was happy to see old and daring Pragya back! Yay! Welcome back, real Pragya!

Close call for Pragya when Abhi insisted he'll call back. Abhi-Tanu scene is building up the drum roll. Pragya, thank you stars. But come up with a sure plan. Without any chance for that vile wasted woman to wriggle out! Just get her, Pragzy. Enough of her!

This exposure uses so much of psychology and spirituality. Right, wrong, truth, weaknesses and exploitation, emotion and intellect, heart vs brain, religion and atheism. Deep content. This makes good drama. Too slow, but excellent dialogs and story unraveling!

Abhi's monologue was an excellent scene today. For a guy who decided to move on with his baby, what's the need for his tirade against God now? Now close to epi 500, we get Balaji Telefilms's message in KKB. Can I not make it in life without your way? Abhi asks God. I guess not, Abhi. Balaji Telefilms will make you take the right way, don't worry. A very good sign he connects his problems with his atheistic beliefs (by KKB values, that is). That introspection is huge. But he's not ready to choose the right path. Not yet. But Ekta Kapoor will make him do that. If losing everything isn't changing him, wonder what other life event will turn him around. Pragya will be his trophy if and when he commits to that path. Until Abhi signs up for that path, there's no Abhigya.

Good thing he knows he's an emotional fool. That's the cause of his problems. Shabir plays an emotional guy with so much heart. Abhi has too much emotions - love, anger, sadness, pride, hate, temper - all too excessive to a fault.

Let's see what happens at the hospital check up. Everytime Pragya twists Tanu's arm, Tanu pushes Abhi';s buttons and gets away. I'll bet it's another close call with Abhi at the hospital and she'll lie her way out fooling Abhi AGAIN!

Abhi slapping Tanu for cheating him in the precap is playing with our frustrations. I want the real exposure, no dreams.

I am...pretty close to devastated today, guys. Only using such a strong dramatic word doesn't feel right, because how I'm feeling is more...numb and disbelieving than anything else. Did I hear that right? Did Pragya herself tell us that she's already divorced? Colour me amazed and appalled because this completely contradicts everything I understand about this genre. I guess that's a problem that I have, I often try to approach and explain KKB in terms of genre constraints. But KKB doesn't always respect those constraints, and there's no rule saying it has to follow the patterns almost all shows follow. I mean we have a heroine whose primary task right now is blackmail. That's pretty unconventional, as far as I understand.

Anyway what has me so upset is that I never in a million years would've believed that a popular daily soap would show a divorced couple living together and sharing emotional intimacy the way AbhiGya have lived together since Nayi Pragya's arrival on the day of Tanu's mehendi. These shows are fundamentally conservative, traditional, and conventional, so...this does not make sense. I thought for sure CVs would pull out some "haha tricked you they're still married!" explanation. I thought for sure that something as major as AbhiGya's divorce could not have been handled so lightly as in that one scene where Pragya asks Abhi to sign the papers "that will make you free of me" while leaving the house. And I really, really don't take well to being wrong about this!

Other than that, I thought it was a pretty miserable episode over all. I didn't like Abhi's ranting at God scene, it came out of nowhere and indicates nothing about his emotional state that I can like. Also that stupid echo effect really ruined the whole thing for me. I didn't enjoy the surfeit of Tanu scenes, though I mean it may be a sign that we're headed to a climax about her, so I guess that's ok. I did like Prags' blackmail phone call, I only wish she had less doubt about it and just continued with it. It doesn't have to be complicated Prags.

Points to CVs for mentioning Puneet today, I'm pleased to know they haven't forgotten his existence. Though how Tanu could "not know him" after that whole "framing him for molestation" spectacle around Aaliya's wedding to Purab...they didn't remember that, I guess. Also I guess Prags wouldn't know this but he was pretty useless when BB took his help to nab Aaliya during the kidnapping track and they only got Purvi blamed instead. So all in all, good thing he was out of station!

Dad's line of the day during Abhi's "pain of rishtas" angst: "I think he's a crazy guy. Emotional idiot."

When Prags was considering who to hire to blackmail Tanu it really sounded like she was describing Raj as her perfect candidate...! Wonder if CVs will go there.

I loved the "karzdaaron" line from Pragya to Tanu. Tanu doesn't accept the simple economic argument that Abhi can't make money without Pragya's permission. This is both foolish and sensible of her. Foolish because Pragya (as far as Tanu knows) has the letter of the law behind her. Sensible because the flow of money doesn't always follow the letter of the law, and talent can be traded into cash readily enough no matter the circumstances 😛

Also, didn't Tanu have some weird fainting disease at some point? To explain her over-reaction to Prags...? I feel like CVs could have revisited this but perhaps like me they don't fully remember it.

I wish the precap wasn't a dream. That slap is as yucky to me as all the other slaps. Perhaps I shall add it to my twitter morcha. We shall see!

Hey Mina, they're divorced. She said that. Wondering why she didn't want Abhi to know that. That's a bummer, huh?

Yess, I agree with a lot of what you wrote! I would like to see a proper redemption track where Abhi reminisces the hard stuff Pragya has gone through because of him from the beginning of their marriage. But like I said, CVs love him too much and can't see him remorse too often. 😕

I love Abhi and Pragya equally!! But that doesn't mean I love their behavior or attitude and in that matter, I tend to be biased about Pragya. In fact, I think a HUGEE reason why I try to give the benefit of doubt to Abhi while I watch the show is because of Shabir 😳 He can't make me unlike Abhi! But then I'm a HUGE Sriti fan as well! Kya karen loll. *sigh*
