Today's epi - regressive

Today's episode left me with more distaste than ever for both Abhi and Sarla.
What kind of regressive baloney is this? The man can get his girlfriend pregnant, have her stay on in his house, be engaged to her but his ex-wife merely for the sake of having taken the pheras with him is obligated to keep the vrath for his long life?? This from a man who knew not the importance of the saath pheras, who made a mockery of marriage just to please his stupid sister? Warewah!

If Abhi in fact loves Pragya in whatever roop, Fuggy or Mugamo, and wishes heart of hearts that she cares for him enough to keep this vrath, it would be understandable. But to berate her and act like he is entitled to her fasting for him is just so incomprehensible and distasteful.

As for Sarla, cannot stand that woman, constantly cribbing, constantly creating a drama, constantly behaving like a 5 year old who wants to hog all the attention and importance, she is enough to drive anyone batty.

Why was everyone standing there silently letting the woman rant and rave? Why couldn't Daadi have shut her up and said your daughter is no longer married to my grandson and so as he is no longer her husband, she does not need to fast for him? In fact, the fast would serve no purpose as it is kept for ensuring the longevity and health of the pathi and Abhi is not Pragya's pathi so the fast would be futile.

The whole epi was regressive and demeaning to Pragya, she has to put up with all the crap that is dealt her including infidelity but she is still required, expected, and mandated to fast for the welfare of her ex-husband soon to be spouse of his girlfriend. Great lesson for women.

Abhi and sarla maa problem is not the "fast" actually..

It's the "change" Pragya went through..

Abhi was hurt to as his expectation of seeing his fuggu in her failed.
Sarla maa was upset on the same thing too..

They wouldn't have bothered if Pragya was silent without mocking KC about which she gave lectures last year..

Abhi dint say anything when she said twice she is not fasting ( when he caught her eating sargi and when he saw her in red saree ) he reacted only when he saw her eating and she talked like KC is nothing to her..
He said it clearly u made me understand how imp KC is so they were upset with the change, the mockery she did..

what surprise me is abhi never blamed himself for pragya's changed avtaar..😲
i mean she clearly said that you betrayed me so i became like this,took everything from you. he never said that ke u did wrong with her when he was married to her and destiny is punishing him instead he is blaming pragya for everything..😡
god why he is not realizing that whatever he has done last year to her is actually hitting him back..
abhi your karma is back but sadly my pragya is also getting punish for his mistakes..😭😭

Thank you. I appreciate your point of view. But in my opinion, Abhi has no right to be mad at Pragya's views on KC. Sarla as a mother should be standing with her daughter and be angry at the betaji that has ruined her daughter's married life from day one.

If Abhi and Sarla believe in the importance of KC, let them. If Pragya wants to scoff at KC, that is her prerogative. Abhi was upset that Pragya was not fasting for him, he admitted as much to the two daadis. Sarla too admitted that she came there to see her daughter keeping the fast. Even in yesterday's epi when Sarla finds out Bulbul is keeping the vrath, Sarla was thinking to herself that Pragya must be keeping the fast as well. Her sole purpose of coming there today was to ascertain for herself that her daughter was keeping the vrath and to assure herself that if Pragya was, then her old daughter was back.

A good mother would have told her daughter, the man is no good, he married you in angry jest, his girlfriend has been living under the same roof since day one, his girlfriend even after his marriage has been using his credit card, the man has been carrying on with Tanu under everyone's nose before his sudden gyanodaya, his self realization that he is in love with you, Pragya. He has gotten his girlfriend pregnant, they were about to be married, you do not need to do anything for this man, keep your self - respect, get home with me, forget the fast, he is no longer your husband, finish up all the jilebis even though they may not be good on your waist, they are good stress busters. Instead Sarla yelled and slapped and created a drama once again.

Yes, him realizing that and admitting as such would make him so much more likeable. The thought that he might be to blame has never struck him, sadly.

Today's episode was unsettling and exasperating. I want to think that today was only the early part of KC in the show. Tomorrow and rest of the week I'm hoping to see things get better.

Hey didn't sarla maa do something similar to what u said?
I mean tad lady took a taxi came to mm, bashed Abhi,slapped him,cursed him , asked p to give away the MS to him etc..

Sarla dint like her daughter cheating and stealing money.
She wasn't ready to come to mm also on Tanu mehendi day because tad was Pragya sasural.
She is nice to Abhi now because she feels Pragya cheating is wrong.

Sarla maa would have supported if p applied for a divorce/filed a case on Abhi/ asked for a alimony may be because she was supporting p when she left Abhi..

Abhi did not make any girl pregnant. He was tricked to have this baby! He did not want to entertain Tannu or her pregnancy. Pragya took a certain love promise!

Honestly, Abhi's reactions were predictable to me. His ranting about why did not observe the fast came out of disappointment. Abhi feels entitled to Pragya's love and that part I didn't like.

I did not like Sarla ma and dadi. Dadi left Pragya hanging dry and she put Pragya in this horrible place. She did not stop Sarla ma. She could have said something to Abhi when he came to share his sadness. She needs to do something tomorrow or Pragya needs to do something herself.

Sarla ma insulting her daughter and asking for Abhi's forgiveness was so warped. The injustice toward Pragya was so 15th centuryish - so backward, misogynistic, ironical, and hateful.

I could have totally related to him feeling sad that she doesn't care enough anymore to fast for him, that would have been totally okay. But to get mad that she wasn't and act entitled was childish.

Yes, it was exasperating to watch Daadi and Bulbul stand there silently. Daadi should have stemmed it when Abhi came to her, you rightly said it.

Like you said, hopefully the rest of the week will be an improvement. Let's see.

Sarla Maa completely supported Pragya when Abhi demeaned her during MMS. She did not support Abhi at all that time. She slapped and bashed him!
