In the past I have called Abhi the bhagwan of KKB universe - not so much because he is universally worshipped and revered, but because narratively he's so often given power/the role to fix things. He makes the world, basically. But this is an important dimension to - in part it's because everyone around him lets him and expects him to. Would he be so godly if he didn't have so many acolytes? IDK...but can we have a Pragya who is his equal in untouchable godliness??? Just for balance???

I think no, ultimately we can't...but maybe for short periods of time? At least now we get to watch a Pragya as abrasive as Abhi used to be around last summer. And it's glorious for me :D

Ash...the pattern seems to be the Pragya is judged more harshly and for longer than Abhi seems to be, by both their families and the viewers who comment on the forum.

And in my opinion...Pragya makes fewer and less awful mistakes than Abhi, but somehow her lapses are treated as so much more unforgivable.

If only! A female writer is no guarantee of balance. Most of Abhi's fans are female. How do we know the writing team doesn't contain women? Maybe it does, and they're either not bothered by these things or they don't care - because they know they have a hit on their hands anyway.

This girl was gone through hell and high water and was a perfect wife, DIL. She sacrificed her marriage for the Tabhi/baby (yes we know the truth). She's back to right thing again for him and they see as the problem.

It's only Pragya for whom people have high expectations and she will be criticized for every lil mistake.

You know when you put it like that it almost makes sense to me. As a society we have higher expectations and less mercy for women. As a genre, soaps are supposed to uphold the perfect female who fixes everything for her man and her family and never gets to count as a person of her own.

Still incredibly frustrating to see that thought pattern play out here, where much of the crowd is young enough that you'd think they wouldn't have such stale biases :(

But on the bright side that makes me think...in this respect, sometimes KKB is not a soap. Our heroine isn't presented as perfect, and even though she has a higher tolerance for enduring trouble than the average person, she at least is allowed to make mistakes and have conflicted feelings!! A lot of humanness to our Pragya...sometimes 😆

Coming to the episode , loving Pragya and Aliya ( I always love her) these days. Bulbul's plan - well dear Aliya was always smarter than you , I don't think it will work this time too.

Abhi s character as usual is inconsistent , wants to fight Pragya in court and also wishing to travel with her. He needs to grow up , and have some kind of an opinion. Either he believes Pragya , or suspects her , he is forever oscillating !!

Similarly he either wants Tanu and baby or just baby or no baby. Take a decision yaar. We don't like immature /indecisive 30 yr old men , such people in real life would be hell.

@bold YES!!! SRITI ROCKS!! So exciting that we are getting to see a greater range of her talents now. So glad she put up with more than a year of 'docile bahu and beti' characterization - which she also did very well - and that CVs are actually using her abilities more now!

@abhi 😆 🤣 So true...lord save us all from partners like Abhi in real life. Take some responsibility, please! I don't really understand how he lives with himself sometimes. Personally I do think he is a good person who is generally inclined to do good things...but this inaction. He should loathe himself for it.

the second one I think...not for all abhi fans but for many abhi fans.

i want to believe that even shabir doesn't think abhi is as great and wouldn't make as many excuses for him as his fans do.

but shabir is pretty chill and unbothered by such things I think 😆

I think CVS tend to show pragya as abhi's bakht, I want them to be equal. Pragya who is logical, rational to abhi's childlike behaviour. Hope pragya grows out of her insecurities and sees her own worth.

thank you!!! it's so funny...the older they get the more hilarious they get, or the better i am able to appreciate them anyway 😆

they kind of know because i'm always telling them...but they don't believe or understand it...and they wish i would stop being obsessed with kkb because they don't think writing on the forums is a productive use of time :(
