I posted this on here somewhere. I will repost it.
But I feel you. I get it. I understand Abhi's frustration. It pains me. But the guy doesn't hate her. he can say and scream it all he wants, but I will NEVER believe him. Dramebaaz. 😆
But he's frustrated -- frustrated that NewPragya is denying him his fuggy. That's ALL he wants.
There could be a number of reasons why P isn't telling A. I wish she would, but the CVs love angst and so do I -- so I'm not complaining. 😆 abhigya = love is war. So kiss your enemy 😳
I'm going off track. This is what they do to me.
3 reasons off the top of my head: Abhi being emotional could wreck everything; Pragya's self-esteem issues; and blood is thicker than water...
it could 1 or all of those things, or a combination even, but past history indicates that Abhi reacts negatively to blindsiding-earth-shattering news. Pragya still doesn't know who the babydaddy is AND that Raj is Aaliya's silent partner. Considering that Abhi reacts first and then questions things later -- could you say with 100% certainty that Abhi wouldn't just lose it and murder Tanu. Heck, even Aaliya (his sister, crazy-sister, but sister nonetheless, who knows him well) seemed to think that Abhi in his rage over Daadi eating awful food could fly into a rage and murder Pragya upstairs. And that was over something as trivial as food. Yes, Daadi eating garbage is still bad when you look at it from his perspective -- Daadi's health is first and foremost.
But Pragya knows all about his rash behaviour. She knows him well. She knows how unpredictable he can be. I doubt she expected to be slapped when she called her I Love You an April Fools joke -- now compare that heartbreaking moment with EVERYTHING Tanu has done and what her lie has led to for Abhi: humiliation, loss of respect, families being ripped apart, worry over what this would do to his career, divorce, and separation.
Abhi lost ALOT.
Now, I'm all for Pragya telling him the truth, but her and Daadi both will need to take him out of Mehra mansion and then tie him down securely - restraining him -- in order to keep him from doing something that will undoubtedly land him in jail. I love his rage. I cannot wait for him to go hulk-smash on Tanu's plastic face. 😆
As for Pragya --- and her horrible self-esteem. Pragya lives a practical life -- because she had to. Look at the way she grew up: no patriarch, a mother who was struggling, a grandmother that puts on a brave face...imagine what a little girl like that must have felt and gone through.
Now look at Bulbul. Pragya gave her sister everything that she had deprived herself of: the right to hope and dream.
We know that when this show started, Sarla was barely making ends meet -- and she was able to do this because Pragya was helping her.
But what of before that?
Pragya wouldn't feel the way she feels about hopes & dreams if she wasn't made to feel so. Her situation defined her. Yearning for something that seems unattainable is foolish -- and that is how Pragya used to think.
Pragya lived a practical life, never allowing herself to dream. Then one night she does so by chance and lets herself do exactly that -- and a shooting star brought Abhi to her. She fought against it, and destiny rebelled, she fell for him and lost herself in those feelings. Those feelings were dream-like. Pragya essentially lived in her one-sided love -- happy with it being unrequited, because why? she never thought he could ever love her back. Bulbul had to force her in to professing. Destiny presented a situation that made her confess it. But the scared, little girl that grew up feeling unworthy, constantly feeling like she paled in comparison to her more beautiful sister, the girl whom was constantly rejected -- confessed her love expecting him to not say it back.
Enter: Purab and Bulbul. They gave her hope. Something of which she deprived herself of. Because hope is worse than allowing yourself to dream. Hope can be cruel. And she slowly allowed herself to have it.
But then Tanu dropped her pregnancy bomb --- and it was in that moment that Pragya, for the first time in months, finally woke up. It was like a slap in the face...
She drowned those feelings, because she remembered how stupid she had once thought those feelings to be. She operated off of what was right, because it was how she always survived.
...Abhi confessing his love however -- through her for a momentary loop.
The reason she couldn't understand Abhi's feelings, even with all of his hinting, is because she had allowed herself to stupidly dream that she could be loved -- but now awake, she remembered who she truly was. Growing up the way she did. Going through what she did, leaves deep emotional scars. She has horrible self-esteem. Abhi professing love does not change that.
Pragya thought that Abhi might have moved on during their one month separation. Not because she doesn't trust in his love, but because she doesn't trust in herself nor believe she warrants it.
Those feelings are deep and raw, and can only heal through her loving herself first.
Last but not least ---- blood is thicker than water. Family is family, no matter how crazy they are. Pragya understands how important family is to Abhi. She's seen it first hand and has even been a victim in the past because of it. She's seen what lengths he will go to, to protect his own.
Yes, before the leap -- he detested (hate is a strong word, and I will not use it loosely) Aaliya. But despite his cold steely exterior at times -- Abhi is a complete softy - abhigya's relationship serves as proof. Sure it was ladled in misunderstanding, but the end result remains the same: he eventually got to a place of understanding with Pragya.
Aaliya is his sister. Crazy to a fault, but still his sister none the same. They've been through a lot together. Sure her obsession has blinded her to a point that she can no longer think straight -- but Abhi still can. Pragya knew, that despite his words -- Abhi throwing Aaliya out of his life would only hurt Abhi more than anyone else. If he could starve for her, if he could revenge marry for her, then he could one day forgive her for being so insane.
And as this track has proved, in times of tragedy -- family rally together. Case and point: Abhi (and Purab) are both back on speaking terms with Aaliya. Yes, Pragya's drama strangely put this into motion, but tragedy is something that is unavoidable. It will always strike, and you can't prevent it nor run from it. There would always have come a day, where Abhi and Aaliya would have eventually started speaking to each other. Sure, Aaliya is only doing it right now for selfish reasons, but even Raj warned her -- the only thing holding Aaliya back, is her obsession with Purab -- without it, she'd go running back to her brother.
And we cannot say with 100% certainty that Abhi will blindly believe Pragya. Yes in the moment he might. But isn't that what Purab did with Bulbul? The Arora's and Janki with Purvi? They were all given the benefit of the doubt, but damning evidence proved otherwise which made everyone think the worst.
Aaliya is a master manipulator (in your good graces or not) You're only advantage over her is the element of surprise -- something of which Abhi proved to us viewers both times. Pragya leant from the best. She's following in his footsteps.
