Before I begin - I'd like to say that I am in no way sugarcoating the way Abhi deals with his feelings and how he reacts in times of duress, but rather as someone who looks for a deeper meaning in everything - what lies beneath the surface, I can understand what the CVs are trying to show. I may not agree with it, but I can understand their approach.
This show bleeds symbolism. Every thing, every action, every word means so much more than what is shown at face value.
It's been said that Abhi doesn't believe in violence against women. The show has had several characters say this during different instances. And yet, the two most significant women (Aaliya and Pragya) in his life are the only ones who have been at the receiving end of this questionable behaviour, now why is that?
The CVs use him lashing out to show that he's been pushed beyond his limit - making him do something he normally wouldn't do. Abhi is an emotional character. He feels his feelings more intensely than most - it's why he's so successful in his line of work. A line of work he originally pursued not only because it was a passion of his, but rather because it was a means for him to survive.
Abhi was a child when he lost both of his parents. He took on the unwilling role of patriarch at that age.
Daadi raised him yes. She made sure he never felt the absence of his mother and father. But what of stability? Imagine being a young child living in poverty and knowing that only you have the power to pull your family out of the gutter and into a life of betterment. Abhi acts like a child, because he was deprived of being one, something of which he shares with Pragya. It's when these two are together that their inner child comes out and they get to live the childhood that they were both denied of. Being denied of a childhood - being forced to grow up earlier than he should have, put Abhi in a state of living in constant survival mode.
Therefore, given that he's an emotional person - emotions aren't just internal. They are also a physical sensation throughout your body. Abhi's greatest fear is losing the people he loves (like he did his parents) - and when a person is stuck in survival mode their defensives are hightened, they react on impulse. And impulse is something that is activated at a subconcious level. Your subconscious however, does not know the difference between emotional and physical risks and as a result you act out in a way that you normally wouldn't because of one driving force: fear.
Abhi puts up a brave front most of the time, but he has his share of demons (demons I hope this show addresses one day) that need to be dealt with. As does Pragya. They are both similar in this regard, but where Abhi is emotional Pragya is more analytical.
But before we judge tomorrow's scene - we at least need to see its context.
