Please anyone explain me what is this marriage consent means as in Goa we have to register our marriage than only you can have marriage ceremony any marriage without legal registration is void secondly same applies to divorce . Only legal divorce gives permission for second marriage n not this consent n all.

I think there is something like if the wife cannot become pregnant or if she is suffering for a disease she can give her consent for her husband's second marriage.Its not divorce its just that i have no objection in this wedding.If her consent is not thr and the man marries a girl,if the first wife complains he will go to prison for 7 years.
