So usually the peak of the good times in a serial (especially EK's) is usually around to 150-250 episodes. After that, the angsty tracks become longer and more unbearable. Every track before the other was significantly shorter. This has broken all records in being the longest.
After about 250 episodes, the serial's ratings decline at its utmost. The CVs have trapped our loyalty and that's all they care about. At this moment, all they are doing is taking advantage of our loyalty and are trying to stay in business for as long as they can (greater shelf life).
Wishing for a great show (at the time that it is) to be as long as possible comes with its pros and cons. Mostly cons. These types of tracks are added, leaps are everywhere, etc. Even some actors find onto newer opportunities (those who are given the opportunities- like movie roles). By the way, not saying they just "leave their jobs" because they get tired of the lame tracks. They aren't like us. It doesn't bother them about what happens. It just shows that the show is way past its expiration date and even change happens for some of them. Can't really explain this clearly.
You know a show is at its "garbage point" when the story doesn't even have anything to do with the title anymore, when actors are frequently changed, double roles are used for everything, leaps are added (where the future generation has their own story), dirty amnesia tracks are added where the vamp somehow marries a major lead, and of course punar-janams.
Even if AbhiGya (or RaBul even) do unite before some of us lose patience and our sanity, the "romance track" will be very short and will get pushed into the back seat where other characters will be given the spotlight and their own story.
It's truly sad and really, it would be healthier to not have high expectations at the moment because when it crashes, blood boils! Just to be on the safe side, brace yourselves.
Sorry for being so negative but had to point out the pattern that keeps the serials in business and traps our loyalty.
