The next day,

Maa was serving breakfast to Papa and everyone when I called out to her from the entrance, "Maa". The minute Maa heard my voice, she identified that it was me.

"Bulbul" whispered Maa to herself and came running towards me, hugged me and asked, "Bulbul, you here? Is everything fine? Are you okay? You.."

"Maa, chill. I'm okay. Actually my friend invited me to her marriage, and the ceremonies are starting tomorrow, so I took a few days off from office and came." I said keeping my bags aside and took a sandwich from the table.

"So, Bulbul. You are going to stay here for a week." asked Papa. and I replied, "Not necessarily, maybe a week or two. And maybe I'll be staying at my friend's place for a day too."

"Papa. Maa. Where is Di? I've come here specially to meet her. And I'm going to take her for the marriage. And I have to even go for shopping."

"Why are you both quiet? Where is she?" I asked again, but when I got no response from them, I went to her room to see. The minute I opened the door, I saw her lying on the floor. I went near her and woke her up.

"Di, Di. What hap..." I couldn't even complete my sentence as Di hugged me and started crying badly. I didn't understand why because no one had told me about yesterday's happenings. I tried to calm her down, but she continued to cry. She was trying to tell something between her sobs, but I couldn't comprehend the head or tail of what she was saying.

"Di, you either cry first and then tell me what happened or first tell me what happened and then cry." I said finally. She then wiped her tears and told me everything about yesterday and started to cry again.

"Di, you forget all this and go freshen up. We have to go for shopping na." I said trying to change the topic. Listening to what Di had said, I understood that she had felt very bad about what happened yesterday. You could've died. And you..." I continued and I came to know that he was drunk. I turned to leave when someone caught my wrist, I turned and saw that it was that jerk. I lost my temper, and grabbed the sugarcane juice a man was drinking, just sitting beside me and threw it on his face. The minute it fell on his face he left my hand and I went to my Di.

"How dare you do this to me. This will cost you a lot. Mark my words, this will really cost you a lot." he shouted.

I and my Di didn't pay any heed to him or his words and went for shopping.

"Di, I'm so tired. Can we drink something?" I asked feeling very tired from shopping and Di nodded in response. I turned to go and bring two glasses of apple juice for us and Di waited there. Di was waiting there when she suddenly saw that same guy, sorry jerk come towards her. She tried not to look at him, but came in front of her and asked, "You are that same girl right? The one with the girl who threw juice on me? I told you it's gonna cost you a lot." This time that guy was not drunk. Must have drunk lemon juice with salt. Di got a bit nervous but she knew that I wasn't wrong this time but she got even more nervous when she saw some more boys behind this guy. She decided to run away from there but there was no way as this dude was looking straight at her. The clothes which she had in her hands, she threw them on his face and ran. The other boys standing behind him ran behind Di to catch her. The thing that I didn't understand is why did they want to catch Di? I threw juice on him right? And how did they reach here? Were they following us? I had no clue about anything. When I reached where Di was supposed to be waiting, she wasn't there. Of course she had ran away from there but I didn't know about that in that minute. I searched for her, but she wasn't there.

Di was running continuously for 15 minutes. She was now outside the shopping mall. She saw the parking lot and ran there and hid behind a black car. She was very tired from all the running so she sat on the ground resting her head on the back door of the car. Suddenly the door opened and hit her head.

"Ouch!", she said rubbing her head. Then, she heard the boys talking, "Where must have she gone? If we don't find her then Mannu is going to kill us." One boy said.

The second boy said, "Hey Raghu, Look. I think there is someone behind that black car." The minute Pragya heard this, her heart started beating fast. She saw the back door of the car open slightly, and didn't think again and just got into it. She went in and she dunked down so that the boys couldn't see her but she hadn't noticed that there was a person inside the car. He was totally confused on what was happening. He was looking at Pragya, and then he saw some boys coming towards his car and sat in such a position that they couldn't see Pragya.

"What yaar? There is no one here. Come fast we really need to find that girl." said one boy and they left. After sometime, Pragya got up and was about to open the door and leave when she saw that someone was in the car. She turned to see, and it was none other than Abhi. When Abhi saw her, he realized that it was the same girl, he had seen that day in the orphanage. They stared at each other for quite long.

"I'm sorry. Actually, those boys.." stammered Pragya breaking the awkward silence between them, to which Abhi replied, "It's okay."

Pragya told him, "Thank you for not telling them that I was there.. Or else those people would have.."

"I said it's okay." said Abhi, "But, why where they? I mean only if you don't mind telling me."

"Yeah. So, today..." slowly Pragya narrated everything to him. And Abhi just nodded.

"You are Abhi. Abhi the rockstar right?" asked Pragya and Abhi smiled at this. "Yes."

"Okay.. I think I should leave. Thanks once again." said Pragya and got out of the car and turned to leave. Abhi too got out and was looking at her go.

After she was out of sight, Abhi got inside and was looking at the files he was going through, when he saw a anklet under the car seat. He picked it up and smiled at it.

Di was now searching for me.

"Arre, now where did Bulbul go? Where will I search for her now?" said Pragya to herself when her phone rang and she received it, "Bulbul, where are you?"

"Di! Me? Where are you? I told you to stay there na? Then where did you go?"

"Bulbul, I'll tell you everything later. Now tell me where you are."

"Di, I'm near the entrance of the shopping mall."

"Okay, wait there. I'll come there." said Pragya and hung up.

"Di, now tell me where did you go?"

"Bulbul, that guy.. The guy whom we met on the road this morning, he came to the mall. There were also some more boys with him. I got nervous and I ran from there and then those other boys were behind me and I hid behind a car. And then when I saw them coming near me, I got into that car and then..."

"And then..?"

"There was Abhi in the car. Abhi the rockstar!" said Pragya and smiled subconsciously thinking about him, I noticed it but I didn't pay too much attention to that as my Di had met the rockstar! The rockstar - Abhi. The next minute I was blaming Di for not telling me earlier or not taking an autograph. But Di didn't seem to hear anything. She was lost in her own thoughts.

"Yes. I told you na that I will come. I will come." said Abhi and disconnected the phone.

He went and sat on the bed hugging his favorite pillow.

He took the anklet and looked at it. 'That girl. Something is very different in her. The minute I see her, I smile. And now the only thing that I can think about is her.' And today also, Abhi dozed off thinking about her.
