Can you guys think of any serial where the heroine has grown a spine and walked away for her self-respect? I admit my serial-watching isn't very regular but I'm coming up with a blank. Maybe Dr. Simran from the old Zee serial Astitva?

Before Prags walks away on her own... I would like to see some intense romance scenes.

So in my last soap, Kayamath, the wife used to walk out of the house when the hating husband behaved too bad... She was brought back into the house for one or the other reason, nevertheless, when she walked out, the husband would know he messed up.

Rani the heroine of doli armaano ki endured years of emotional abuse and one really severe beating before finally leaving her husband bc he was cheating on her. The husband was always the antagonist though. Now it's 8 yrs later and she's marrying someone who respects her but husband from hell is still around causing problems,

On saathiya the heroine's family kicked her out after her first daughter (seemingly) died in an accident, not knowing she was pregnant w her second. She stayed away for a number of years and made a life for herself as a single mother and a teacher (when the show started she was illiterate; her sasural helped educate her). Seven years later her daughter pulled a parent trap type thing and she was forced to rejoin the family but she didn't beg for her husband's love or anything like that. They had a slow reconciliation.

This show started a few months before kkb and was at one point in the slot after it...at least where I live. in India I think it's always been an hour later.

And yes everyone go read rani's update of vulnerable!!! It is the best best best <3
