Pragya was ready with Suresh about to go start the wedding ceremony and rituals. Deep inside the only thing Pragya wanted to do was to run away from this fake happiness as far away as possible. She was tired with this compromised life. She wanted to live life the way she wanted but here she was, getting married to one she wouldn't even dream of. She had begged not to make her do this but when Suresh turned up agreeing she felt no reason to argue. She was tired, of trying to prove herself even though no one was listening to her. She just let them do what they wanted with her. She watched all the preparations in silence. Everyone always expected her to do what they wanted and now that she was they were still asking her what the matter was. There really was no pleasing some people. They were about to take the saath phere when a voice stopped them. They all turned to see Abhi walking in.
Now what did he want. He had already ruined her enough, what else was left. She stared back blankly waiting for the next insult. Characterless, no he had already said that as well as a gold digger, heartless, not worthy of love, ugly... What else could he be here to say? She waited listening to what he had to say but when she saw that he was crying she noticed something was wrong but for some reason she didn't feel sorry for him this time. She looked back at him and he spoke first.
"I love you Pragya, please come back" Said Abhi. He explained how all of this was a plan made by Aliya and Tanu and he only just found out because he heard them speaking in their room. He said he only loved her and who he thought he loved had used him.
"I am sorry Pragya." Said Abhi. "Please forgive me." He looked down in shame still crying.
"Sorry for what. After all I am characterless, a gold digger, heartless, not worthy of love, a chashmish, ugly, a bhenji... The list is long. Then why are you sorry."
"Don't say that." Said Abhi. "I misunderstood, Im sorry."
"What do you think I am?" Pragya shouted this time. "A toy... that you can keep when you want throw away when you get bored. No! A few minutes ago you didn't want to see the sight of me and now you love me. How am I meant to trust this forever changing mind of yours." Pragya felt angry and she ran into her room locking the door blocking out all the noise from outside. She had had enough, she was not going to answer any questions. She sat and stared at the wall with numb eyes for the rest of the night.
Outside Abhi knew that whatever happened he was going to get his chashmish back. He would make her trust him and love him once again. He knew this was going to be hard but he would do whatever he could to win her back.
