Because the effect/guilt would be worse on him to know how much he mistrusted/blamed Pragya.

And, he can't argue or be told from Taaliyah that Pragya is doing another drama with the evidence if he has found it himself.

So, I am all up for Abhi finding it himself. Makes sense too if he begs her to stay in his house after that. If Pragya had to prove herself, I rather wish she goes away.

Also, Prags might try to take Mitali's help since Suresh told her Mitali invited him to Mehra house to teach her kids. But yeah, Bhabhi hates Prags and actually involved in the plotting, no wonder she will ditch Pragya.

He can't seem to hold onto enough positive thoughts about his wife in mind when drama erupts to prevent him from blaming her for everything or to consider anyone else's involvement. Why did it take Purab for him (and for her, for that matter) to realize this was all very suspicious?

So it honestly serves no benefit (to me anyway) if he stumbles upon the information if he's not going to internalize that knowledge into a longer lasting positive assessment of her. I don't even care if he apologizes (except that I do want to see him apologize to Suresh) because it's pretty much meaningless. He's just going to do it again when Taliya plan the next thing.

And it certainly does no benefit to Pragya's character either - she's still going to be a sad, dumb doormat who's okay with everyone, including Abhi, running all over her. When will she save herself? And when will she leave this toxic environment?

(Sorry - this horrible characterization of Pragya and the cold weather is just making me really bitter)

I wish if they could come up with a scenario in which Abhi will let Pragya stay without being able to prove herself innocent God knows he never run out of excuses, my point is that to show us that Pragya leaving after 24 hours is unbearable for him and to let Pragya feel that (like when he rushed to her rescue when she was falling off the couch she felt something Na?. That may help him when he came begging for forgiveness later. then they can solve the mystery of the fake video together
