Hello friends!😃 How is it going? Thank you for the wonderful response to the earlier drabble! All the comments and likes mean a lot!🤗

This is the second drabble of the "Once upon a time" drabble collection... And this one is on RaBul! (In College) And Aaliyah is also there but don't worry there is a twist...😉 (Good one hopefully!)😆

This is especially dedicated to all the RaBul fans out there!😛

Once upon a time...

KKB Drabbles

RaBul - In college

"Bulbul!"

Purab knew that melodic laughter could only belong to Bulbul even before he turned around to see her face. The canteen was packed with students but he knew he would identify her any day... Anywhere... His beautiful Bulbul...

As soon as he straightened on his seat to get a good look at her, he heard Aaliyah desperately trying to suppress a snicker as she sat next to him.

"Freak alert!"

"What did you just say?"

"Oh come on Purab! Two years! Two years you have been doing the same thing! Whenever you see her you become this total idiot... For god's sake go and talk to her! I am sure she must be thinking you as some kind of a freak by now... I mean seriously... what happens to you when she is around?"

"Aaliyah... You know it is nothing like that... It is just... It is just..."

"Go on Purab! I am listening... God... What am I going to do with you? Okay you know what? I am going to call her here right now..."

"NO! No Aaliyah please don't... I know... I know I become this totally crazy person when she is around... I can barely talk when she is in front of me... You know once she talked to me in the class and I kept on rambling nonsense... And then when next time she talked to me, I did not want to act like a fool so I turned away and left... Then after that I realized that was so rude and I did not want to be rude at all so I just went back to her and ... then finally when she asked me something I did not want to answer because then I would again speak some nonsense so I just stood there and kept mum!"

"Ha ha ha! Oh Purab! You are so sweet! And look at you... you are all red!"

"Aaliyah! Aaliyah! Aaliyah! What am I going to do? See, she is just sitting there laughing with Purvi and Suresh... See Aaliyah she looks so innocent and her smile... It is just so infectious! I just wish... I just wish I get to sit there with her laughing like that..."

"Oh Majnu! Being in love does not mean you could ditch your cousin okay! Anyways since you are my favourite cousin and mostly because I am getting fed up with your daily Romeo acts... now I have decided..." Aaliyah stopped midway to emphasize her revelation. "I AM GOING TO HELP YOU OUT! Ta Da..." Aaliyah happily made a pose to show her enthusiasm.

"What do you mean? Aaliyah you and your plans... I am not so sure..."

"Oh! Shut up Purab! We are starting with the basics... and...We are starting NOW! Also she is my friend... And I know her well... So there won't be any problems! I can handle this! Come on get your stuff!"

"But Aaliyah what are you going to do? Please tell me!"

"Well first I am going to re-introduce you to her as my dear sweet cousin! And let's see how it goes from there! Okay! Let's go! No wait! Before we start... Few more things... You are not going to talk at all! Maybe just say Hi! And if I ask anything just answer yes/no. Okay? Do NOT talk nonsense okay? Done! Let's go!"

They started towards the table where Bulbul was sitting with her friends.

"Oh wait! One more thing..."

"Now what Aaliyah?"

"Just get rid of anything that is likely to fall down... You always become clumsy and drop something when she is around..."

"AALIYAH..."

"Okay okay just joking! Calm down.. Come on let's go... "

And together they went to talk to Bulbul, finally.

It's a sweet story. I like goofy, nerdy, tongue-tied Purab; it seems like he would certainly be this way in his underconfident teen years. And thanks for showing a friendship with Aaliya; their cousin bond is very nice, and it's great to see her plan-making habits put to a good use! Cute drabble...and I am definitely wondering what happens next 😛
