My only
hope is her passivity is temporary and that when she realizes the actual
truth of what happened with Puneet, she uses it as a weapon against
Abhi. Pragya is willing to suffer in this marriage (I don't understand
why anymore, when she knows it has a limited shelf life but fine, let's assume
she has her [dumb] reasons). However, I cannot imagine she would let
the punishments extend to her family. This has been a quality of hers to begin with - standing up for what's right and standing up for her family. For their sake, if not her own and Bulbul's future happiness, she needs to ACT. SOON.


I
know Pragya is supposed to be inherently good but I am tired of seeing
that as a reason behind continued passivity. I doubt the audience would
ever hold it against her if she held certain information over Abhi to
get him to curb his destructive behavior. Just like she doesn't want the
truth out for her mother, he doesn't want the truth out for his
grandmother, especially after those sweet words she said about their
marriage a few days ago. She should threaten him with her knowledge. Or she should encourage Purab to run. Or she should do the best thing ever and LEAVE them. Something. Anything. Please. Enough with the brave face suffering through any and every attack on her dignity.


Alas, it feels unlikely she will do anything notable at all for a while, instead opting to find a reason to smile at some minor sweet gesture Abhi makes. Blech. And it's not that I am opposed to them building a relationship, but I am opposed to it happening at the expense of her self respect and intelligence, which is what is presently happening.


I feel like I need a weekend break to wash this away. 😆

You hit the nail on its head. It is Pragya's inactivity and passivity that frustrates the viewer. Granted she wants to keep the truth from her mom, but so does Abhi want the truth withheld from his daadi. Why doesn't Pragya then use this to challenge/blackmail him into some semblance of civilized behavior?
Being good is not being spineless and long suffering and it is especially not making sheep's eyes at a man who belittles you every occasion he can. That shows a total lack of self respect which no amount of goodness can compensate.

Strega, exactly. She owes no one anything except herself. She needs to stand up for herself and her rights as a woman and a wife, no, not a go begging for Abhi's love which is worthless anyway.

And I agree with you, Purab and Bulbul's business is their own, Purab should not have hid the truth about Aliya from Bubul. Bulbul should not have persuaded Purab into marrying Aliya but Pragya need not go disclosing the truth to Abhi because of these two (very cute) nincompoops.

But Pragya putting up with Abhi's nonsense is an insult to womanhood as it propagates the belief that goodness equates to being a doormat and putting up with the crap a husband dishes out. Why cannot they show her as good and strong instead of good and idiotic?

Agree but Pragya is in one pressure about her Mother health issues.

I've never before commented on any post in this forum... But the show's been testing my patience for quite some time. And this! I could relate to what you're saying.
Really.. I get it that bad guys have their own charm and all... But Abhi's just been despicable of late! How could someone sensible (apparently) like Pragya forgive all that?
And I get the fact that people change... Experiences mold them and all... But such radical change in Pragya's behaviour isn't really acceptable!
So, the writers better redeem these before it's too late...

I don't feel the need to say anything more. Whatever I have been thinking regarding the current situation in the show has been stated by so many people in this thread.
