'Aunty ji, where is the rest of your blouse!!! Your tailor must have forgotten them...oh my poor..come come' Pragya loudly exclaims before bursting into fit of giggles at the horror stricken lady. Everyone turned towards the outburst. While some tried their best to hold of their laugh and most just watched on with their mouth gaped open in shock. Pragya moved closer and pinched both of the lady cheeks and making sad faces at the the lady. Oh No!No! Not that old hag....Abhi quickly dashed towards Pragya who was in another fit of giggles. By now, the lady had turned to red from head to toe. 'Sorry..sorry Mrs Tejawa...I'm really sorrr...Pragya!' Abhi apologized trying pry Pragya fingers away from the mortified Mrs.Tejawa cheeks. Pragya totally intoxicated from the spiked fruit juice, just continued making faces at Mrs Tejawa. 'Koochie poo...kochie poo..poor baby lost heeerrr...' Pragya cooed at Mrs. Tejawa before Abhi placed his hand over her lips to quieten the drunk Pragya. He practically had to pull the protesting Pragya away off poor Mrs Tejawa and dragged her pass the amused on lookers. Somewhere he saw a flash light go off, mentally giving himself a facepalm for the mess he brought on himself on his own. Abhi halted behind the staircase and harshly set her straight. Pragya tried to stabilize herself, but her feet has turned to jelly. She stumbled in front, grabbed hold of Abhi kurta, looked up at him smiling innocently. The world seems to be spinning faster around her and Abhi anger seems to be last thing she was bothered about. 'Are you mad!!! Mrs.Tejawa! My record company's CEO's wife!!!...' Abhi screamed in frustration at Pragya in hushed voice. Pragya ignored him, starts playing with his kurta's button with one hand still hold on to him. He turned away from Pragya suddenly to calm himself. The sudden lost of balance and her grip on his kurta, she fell backwards losing her footing before Abhi grabbed her, steadied her against his tall, strong frame. 'Stand straight will you!!!' Pragya made a sad face at him. Her fingers pinched Abhi cheeks and with a wide smile, cooed at him 'Koochie poo...'. Abhi was lost for words for a few moments, bemused at Praya making faces at him. He was ready to yelled at her again when he stopped short, his eyes caught Daadi looking at them both not far away. With a sweet smile plastered on his face, he moved her fingers away from his hurting cheeks. With one swift movement, swept her off her feet and carried her off to their room. Sitting comfortably on the coach in their room, Pragya was humming her favourite song, looking on at Abhi who was pacing back and forth, scratching his head. He was muttering something. God! will he stop moving already. His making me dizzier...Pragya got up and stumbled towards Abhi. She stood in front of him, attempted at a serious face, held his shoulder and mimicked his earlier outburst with a deep harsh voice. 'Stand straight will you!!!' With that, a giggle burst out from her. Abhi just looked on. He had never seen his chasmish smile, let alone laugh so uninhibitedly around him. He caught glimpses of her smile during their fights, the laughter when she was with Daadi or when she was with her family. But never with him. She always had a frown when facing him. It made him mad, as he was not the chosen few who enjoyed the smile, Abhi shook of the though off quickly. Abhi folded his arm, waited for Pragya to get hold of herself. 'DONE? ARE YOU TRYING DESTROY ME!!...HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO SHOW MY FACE TOMORROW FOR RECORDING! OR IF THE PRESS GETS HOLD OF THIS, MY IMAGE...Oh god the press...DO YOU...' Abhi continued yelling at Pragya , taunting her. Pragya stood there like a statue, just taking in each of Abhi's word to her heart. The man had so much contempt and hatred that she knows no depth of for her. '...you are trying to break the wedding off. Purab will never be yours! His getting married to Aaliyah. I will leave you then. Its a lesson for a Gold Digger like you..Tannu...' Something snapped in Pragya. 'I don't deserve this...' Pragya spoke in a low voice. 'WHAT?..' Abhi stopped himself from continuing. A lone tear dropped from Pragya eyes. He saw her trying to holding off the tears in her eyes from falling. His heart ached from the effort she made to physically hold herself from breaking down. Pragya took a deep breath in and cleared up her voice. Looking into Abhi's eyes, she repeated herself. 'I don't deserve this...I don't deserve this...I don't deserve this..' Her voice grew louder each passing moments, she grew restless repeating herself, tears streamed down her cheeks. Abhi coming out of his initial shock seeing Pragya crying, moved closer and gently held her hands. He felt helpless and his heart was hurting seeing his chasmish's tears. Innocence and truth shines through her bewildered eyes now. Deep down in his soul he believes when she said those words. The moment Abhi touched her, Pragya pushed him away. Surprised by Pragya unexpected reaction, he stumbled backwards. Pragya continued repeating herself and started hitting on his chest with all her might. Her small hand didn't cause him the pain she wanted to inflict but her words did, echoed the accusation and hurt she had endured from their wedding night. Abhi forgot he was suppose to enjoy this moment, he had broken Pragya but all he knew he can't let her continue, she will hurt herself if she goes on like this. He pulled her closer and wrapped his arm around her. She tried with all her might to push Abhi away. She thrashed in his arms, screaming 'Let me go!! Let me go!...' into his ears. Ignoring the pain in his ears, Abhi held on to her, patiently calming her down with soft whispers, reassuring both of them. Pragya slowly stopped struggling in his arms. She held on to his kurta for support. All her energy has been drained off and her mind muddled up with everything that just transpired but the weight she carried seems to have lighten up. She began crying softly into his chest. She felt safe and protected in the warmth of her tormentor arms. Abhi felt his kurta getting drenched with her tears and the slight hiccups trembling through Pragya's body . A sense of calmness engulfed him, having Pragya in his arm. He kissed her forehead. Pragya looked up to Abhi, her eyes swollen and red 'No girl should ever endure, seeing her husband with another lady on her wedding night.' Abhi felt a searing pain in his chest. His heart broke listening to her saying those words. It was not an accusation but a mere statement. Her eyes spoke all he didn't want to hear. He had served her an injustice, a punishment not worth of any crime. He finally saw the extend of damage his words and actions had on Pragya. The pain he inflicted on her had marred her soul to an extend he never would have imagined. Abhi just held her closer and closed his eyes. Note : Just a try on writing an OS on Abhigaya.
