Many on IF forums tell you that telly shows are not supposed to give a social message. Okay. Let's accept that for a fact.

But, an educated girl Aaliya explaining Pragya's behavior and concern for Abhi as "The Art of Hypnotism" is definitely hitting a new LOW in the history of Indian daily soaps. And the male lead, Abhi in this case, actually believing it to be true.

Oh Ms. Kapoor, you and your juvenile bunch of idiots who are writing such scenes and churning out such stories.

Hats off (seriously, no pun intended) to Ms. Kapoor for producing and serving Indian audience with such low quality ridiculous stories and making crap loads of money, and enjoying the status of queen of daily soaps.

By the way, I seriously don't blame her at all. She knows the Indian audience very well and serves them with what they deserve (or at least what the majority of Indian audience like to see).

The winners:
Ekta Kapoor and the vast majority of Indian audiences.
The losers: 0.0001% of the audiences like us who try to use their brain too much and try to find logic in her shows.

NOTE ADDED: Please note that no where above my post claims that Indian audiences are dumb. Just because I said "
audiences like us who try to use their brain too much" doesn't lead to a conclusion that Indian audiences are dumb.

Normally I don't agree with blanket disdain for audiences & generalized contempt for writers, but I was very disappointed by today's episode and absolutely agree with your point about Aaliya offering such an explanation, and Abhi accepting it. Honestly while watching it I thought, "Wow, you luckily got to study abroad and pursue higher education...and now you're taking advantage of your brother with your supposed sophistication!" Because I think Abhi probably didn't get the chance to go to university, and didn't do much formal learning. He may be a rockstar but that doesn't necessarily mean he's sophisticated.

Of course I hope that it doesn't take much sophistication to reject hypnotism as an explanation. Augh. 😡

I just watched the serial and I was totally dumbfounded that this hypnotism was even suggested by Aliah, like seriously?? Usually, dramas play it for comedy, but Aliah's seriousness just made me ridicule her education and state of mind..

As for the bigger picture and Ekta... think of it this way, when two people fall in love in dramas, they often say, something is wrong with me, I should go to the doctor. It's similar in Abhi's case.

i understood ur view & that was totally idiotic...okay...but whatever u mentioned about Indians & thier brains & views...excuse me from which world r u from.,the country / people fantasize aliens vs humans.,draculas in love with a human.,or some fights between two different worlds which all under the name of SCIENCE fiction...ur posts is very rude.ur anguish is understood & considered too.but the way u criticised audience shows ur immaturity & not our taste..if u can take science fictins & blahblah as a revolutionary thinking
why cant all these hypnotism.actually hypnotism is science with many unproven facts at the same time with some proven facts too..usage of that factor in that scene is atmost stupid & inappropriate but for that u cant blame audience.u have all time to spend & talk about ur views here but how do u know that audience appreciated that nonsense..did anybody came & told u

many see serials not because of its intellectual quality but to relax and enjoy after a tiring day it doesnot mean we do not have brains

How is the audience at fault if every channel they turn to shows this kind of shit only? The audience does NOT have a choice. I'm pretty sure the Indian audience 'deserves' better. They have shown that by supporting sood shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. People even today, demand a season 2 even after 8 years of it's ending.

It's the producers who need to pull their act together and have the courage to show something different.

That part was funny, Aliya is so silly she has full of ghas phush in her chota sa bheja. And this story is not on any social issue (atleast) so chill, m enjoing it like a drama. loving Sriti as pragya.
