OK guys a part of me doesn't want to talk about this because it feels like talking about bad things makes them more real (superstition, psychology, whatever) but...I think with that scene in Friday's episode when Abhi's ranting about 'If your God exists show him reducing me to a common man' and then the little shrine/mandir (sorry I don't know the proper term) comes into focus, it is pretty clear that eventually there is going to be an 'Abhi loses everything' track.

So I am curious, what do you think the 'Abhi loses everything' track will look like?

Will he have to leave his mansion and live in a chawl?
Will he move in with Pragya's family?
What will happen to all his other family members?
Will it last a long time?
Is it going to happen soon?

What do you think???

So far the scriptwriters have been rather smart and funny, so a part of me thinks that there is not going to be a huge 'fall from riches' track in the near future, but there might be a few episodes that show Abhi having to temporarily live as a common man where people don't know/don't treat him as a Rockstar...

Buuut can't deny that 'rich to poor to rich' is a standard drama track with lots of angst/dhamaaka potential, so I think we'll see that eventually too...

What are your opinions, thoughts, predictions, daydreams???? 😊

I don't understand how Abhi can ever completely lose his rockstar status and become a common man. He may go out of the limelight but he will still be remembered as a rockstar. There is no way he will be a common man, he will always be flocked by some of his loyal fans whether he has chart topping numbers or not! I mean Michael Jackson is still a star although dead.

Abhi might lose his fame (just as no artist stays no.1 forever) and riches (due to mismanagement by his Taiji and co.). But having shown Abhi as a character who supported his family at a young age and worked his ass off to achieve this much, I don't think it will take him a lot to bounce back. Since he is a go-getter, it would be a temporary phase in his life (lasting 30 episodes or so) where he will gather himself, recognize the right and wrong people around him and make a even bigger come back. I guess Pragya would be his rock solid support in this low phase of his life and she and him will bond for more than life during this.

Also, Abhi has been shown to love money, but he spends it on his people too and values relationships very much. He loves to make money but I wouldn't call him money minded.

I would be very sad if they show Abhi praying to God in desperation. What he said about man making himself is a spirited thought. It doesn't exactly deny his belief in God but it shows his upfront attitude to life. It is perfectly okay to not believe in God or not pray to God in my opinion.

I think losing the riches would be a track for Abhi to figure out the right and wrong people in life.

I would love if the following happens: Abhi loses all his wealth by fraud from his so-called greedy family, and they kick him out of the house. He has got no-one by his side apart from his Grandmum and Pragya. They support him through his hard phase and help him to rise again. And then he sees Pragya's true worth and starts falling for her 👏

Lots of interesting thoughts Tia!

30 episodes = a month and a half right? Not that long when it's over but probably delightful agony to watch 😆

Agree with you that a low phase would be a great time for support from and bonding with Pragya. Also well said that this track could give Abhi the chance to figure out the right and wrong people in his life 👍🏼

Agree with you also that in real life it's perfectly okay to have any opinion on God but do you think that it's ok for tv? As in, for the people making this show, I think they're going to assume that their audience wants to see a shift in Abhi to be more like Pragya - she was presented as the morally right and mature one in that scene. I wouldn't like to see Abhi praying in desperation either but I do think they're setting up the track to "teach" or "show" Abhi a certain kind of humility that comes along with appreciating the possible role of God/events outside your control in your life, and how your personal efforts alone can still be impacted/influenced by that.

I don't know about TV standards, Mina. I haven't watched too many soaps to judge that. I would be happy if they maintain Abhi's character as someone who believes in himself than depend on some unseen force.

If Abhi knows he has done a blunder, he will be the first one to go on his knees and apologize. He has been shown to admit to his mistakes. Just like Friday's car scene, he went on to apologize about talking ill of the sweater in a minute. If he has that kind of conscience, why does he need a huge lesson?

He committed the blunder of marrying Pragya but in his eyes, Pragya is a really bad person who is all about money. The day he knows the truth, he will do anything to fix his mistake. And his relationship with Pragya will develop into something else and it will be more than apologies and lessons. And he is so prone to love.

He will appreciate Pragya in his own way without others teaching him. He already appreciated her on various occasions pre-wedding although he didn't recognize her in some instances!

Talking of humility, we saw Abhi at his in laws last week. I think he was as humble as he could be. He is very well behaved with his Daadi and his people in general. I don't think he seriously lacks in humility.

You are quite right, these are some great examples. I actually thought it was kind of weird when their argument ratcheted up and he said some things that made Pragya call out his arrogance (ghamand). I mean, Abhi doesn't generally seem like an over-arrogant guy unappreciative of what he has gained in life, but in that conversation he was completely presented as a 'flawed human' set up to take a fall due to his pride.

I think the morality of mainstream shows like these is generally rather conventional. All kinds of outrageous things might happen but the main characters, the ones the audience is supposed to like and want to be like, generally have to come back to a kind of faith that is presented as mature and grounded. On a day to day level Abhi might not need humility, but on a cosmic level, it's somehow shown as wrong of him to believe too much in his own powers to fix everything. Plus I think it will be part of his punishment for misreading and mistreating someone as conventionally "good" as Pragya; he will have to suffer in a lot of ways for playing games with her life. The Powers That Be will play games with his in return - specifically, the scriptwriters and showrunners, but within the show the 'powers' will invariably be presented as destiny, with a strong inflection of divine will and cosmic justice.

I was a bit taken aback when Pragya called him "ghamandi". He even shared with her about his childhood struggles and the times he had no food. I thought she would appreciate that he is not someone born with a silver spoon and just fooling around.
Agree, his biggest mistake was to take it into his own hands to fix things, but then, what he did will end up benefitting him in the long run. It's mainly Pragya whom he has wronged. But will she punish him? I don't think so. She will understand him much before he understands her. Because she knows his stand (he has made it pretty clear too) and she knows the truth. She is smart enough to figure him out.

If Abhi-Pragya do fall in love before the misunderstandings clear (which should happen- otherwise, Abhi will not want to continue being her husband), don't you think Pragya will be at fault too (although not exactly her fault) for hiding truth from him. He may ask her- why honey, even you kept me under the dark and let me keep sinning- I feel that makes his guilt a little less and makes Pragya a bit guilty too.
