Niyati "It has been a rocking experience working in 'Kulvaddhu'. Niyati is a vulnerable girl from Rajasthan who undergoes a drastic change in her journey," says Daljit. Doesn't Kulvadhhu sound like yet another story of a small-town girl? Daljit retorts, "Every serial has a different protagonist and the story is not the same. This show is different because it has a Rajasthani background." Camraderie On the sets, Daljit is close to co-star Surbhi Tiwari (plays the bahu in 'Kulvaddhu'), with whom she also shares her make up-room. "We are a huge gang of spoilt kids who pile together in one room and have a blast. We play games whenever we are free. We often have dinners together too," says Daljit referring to the cast of 'Kulvaddhu'. Fan ardour While shooting in Rajasthan, Daljit was surprised by a bouquet of flowers sent by a fan. "It was a heart-shaped bouquet of red roses. I'd like to meet this person someday," she says. Bratty me For someone who plays a quiet and a simple girl, the real Daljit is the opposite. "I am actually a naughty brat but that doesnt show on my face," she giggles. She further reveals, "I sketch a lot, especially pencil sketches. I also write my diary. However, I don't enjoy parties." Lesson-wise "I have learnt that in this industry you need an ample amount of patience and huge talent to get ahead," revelas Daljit. She adds, "Women in this industry are taken for granted. Especially during auditions, they are judged in a particular manner. I wish I could change these norms." Saying that she finds actor Rani Mukherjee inspiring, Daljit elaborates, "Rani does a lot of home work. She can play both glamorous and de-glam roles with ease." | |
