Spamming is posting one liners such as "thank for helping", " you have been helped", etc. to increase your post count.

Lets say if you asked a Question in this thread, and some1 answers the question. And then 5 members post "thanks for helping".....thats basically spamming....Members post one liners to increse their post count.

ohhhhhh..why wud u want ur post count up coz i dun rly caree but yeah w0w0w0w I-F has a lotttt of rulees ..i dun even noe one of them well now i do but wow i thought

I-F was jus a place u can do w.e..where do u find ur "warning level"..hmmm i need t0o check these rules outt coz u noe if i dunt agree with a rule can i "argue" for it to be changed coz i do tht a lot

I don't think thanking a person is spamming😆 lekin some people tend to think so I guess.😆

And don't worry! People who spam are those who mostly advertise something or go to a topic and post a reply without caring to read what it says.

Thanking a person is not spamming but if some1 posts in almost EVERY thread "you've been helped" or "thanks for helping this person".......then that is a spamming. And We (dev team members) can see the history of spammers and thats why we keeps warning those members through posts/PMs.

These rules are tough😭 but I didn't make IF rules😊

To see the history of a spammer, you don't need to be in the Dev team rre.😆 Just do a search on the user can tell.😳

I am talking about about warning meter history.😛
Only Dev. Team members can see the history written in warning meters.

I think the rules of IF are fair enough, and if so many members can abide by them, i see no reason for you "arguing" to get them changed. Nevertheless if you feel you have ever been treated unfairly, you can always PM the DEV team members and talk it out with them.

As for the questions you asked,Warning Levels can be seen only by the DEV team members. I didn't quite understand what you mean by your last line, but spamming just can not be kept a "secret"😕

It is plain obvious when people spam with smilies/T4S type of posts that do not add any weight to the discussion that they are just trying to disrupt the flow of the discussion, cause trouble and/or trying to increase their post count.

Spamming can also be defined as;

"Flooding the forums with redundant messages, empty messages, advertisements, clearly irrelevant "+1 Post Count" messages, and/or nonsensical posts. "

...as has been mentioned in the COC .
